Renovations made this house bright, open, and modern. In addition to installing white oak flooring, we opened up and brightened the living space by removing a wall between the kitchen and family room and added large windows to the kitchen. While the use of simplicity, clean lines, and fairly neutral colors bring a sense of calmness and comfort to space, this transitional style bathroom brings interesting traditional features as well. The white painted shaker door cabinets with textured Caesarstone “Rugged Concrete” countertop and backsplash, mixed with the timeless dual cross handles’ lavatory faucet and exposed shower pipe, set the scene for traditional luxury. To maximize the function of the vanity, a wall tower cabinet, two sets of drawers and grooming pull-out provides plenty of storage for fresh clean towels, a hairdryer and toiletries essential for guests. Additional functional elements include a curbless shower with tiled linear drain, tempered frameless glass shower with a door that swings (opens in both directions), a shower seat, walls prepared for future grab bars and a multi-functional jet showerhead and hand shower. The no-slip soft linen-look porcelain tile shower flooring and walls maximize safety. The contrast of the linear woven look of sand and white for the floor tile adds visual interest while the hexagon shaped tile provides a waterfall look.

We renovated the exterior and the 4-car garage of this colonial, New England-style estate in Haverford, PA. The 3-story main house has white, western red cedar siding and a green roof. The detached, 4-car garage also functions as a gentleman’s workshop. Originally, that building was two separate structures. The challenge was to create one building with a cohesive look that fit with the main house’s New England style. Challenge accepted! We started by building a breezeway to connect the two structures. The new building’s exterior mimics that of the main house’s siding, stone and roof, and has copper downspouts and gutters. The stone exterior has a German shmear finish to make the stone look as old as the stone on the house. The workshop portion features mahogany, carriage style doors. The workshop floors are reclaimed Belgian block brick. RUDLOFF Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016 and 2017. This landscape project features a series of tiered retaining walls constructed with High Format Rosetta Outcroppings, designed to stabilize a sloped backyard while improving the overall appearance of the landscape. Installed for a homeowner in Westerville, Ohio, the retaining wall system addresses significant hillside erosion while creating a structured and visually appealing outdoor environment. The project includes three distinct tiers of Rosetta Outcropping retaining walls, strategically installed along the back hillside to help control soil movement and reduce erosion. The large-scale stone appearance of the Rosetta Outcroppings provides the look of natural quarried stone while offering the structural strength required for retaining wall applications in sloped terrain. Each tier of the retaining wall system helps slow water runoff and stabilize the hillside by creating stepped levels across the slope. This tiered approach not only improves erosion control but also adds dimension and depth to the backyard landscape. The textured surfaces and natural stone character of the High Format Rosetta Outcroppings blend naturally with the surrounding greenery, allowing the retaining walls to complement the existing landscape while providing essential structural support. Retaining wall systems like this are commonly used throughout Westerville, Ohio and Central Ohio to address drainage challenges and hillside erosion. By incorporating professionally installed retaining walls, homeowners can transform unstable slopes into functional, attractive landscape features while protecting their property from ongoing soil loss. Projects like this demonstrate how thoughtfully designed retaining walls in Westerville, Ohio can provide both practical erosion control and long-term landscape enhancement for homes throughout Central Ohio.
