Modern and functional ground-level entryway designed for practicality and warmth. The space features durable slate or bluestone floor tiles, which provide a cool, natural texture and contrast with the dominant light-colored wood of the built-in benches and storage. The entryway is equipped with a custom-built bench and paneling that extends up the wall, complete with hooks for coats and a shelf above.

The homeowner wanted this bonus room area to function as additional storage and create a boutique dressing room for their daughter since she only had smaller reach in closets in her bedroom area. The project was completed using a white melamine and traditional raised panel doors. The design includes double hanging sections, shoe & boot storage, upper ‘cubbies’ for extra storage or a decorative display area, a wall length of drawers with a window bench and a vanity sitting area. The design is completed with fluted columns, large crown molding, and decorative applied end panels. The full length mirror was a must add for wardrobe checks. To ensure each room was fun and creative, we made sure to include lots of color in a very harmonious and sophisticated way. You’ll see this in the bonus room where blues and yellows play together as well as in her daughter’s patterned bedroom. We contrasted this color and vibrancy with grass cloth wall coverings and modern, high-drama pieces.
