For this project we had a contractor come to Ancient Elements Stoneworks (AES) looking for stone for a house he was flipping. When flipping a house there are several aspects to keep in mind, one it needs to be cost effective, two it needs to look great in the house, and three it needs to match what buyers are looking for. The experts at AES helped the contractor find material that was cost effective and was going to bring the house together. This flip took place in a small house, so the stone needed to have character but not so much that it overwhelmed the entire house. This is what lead to the Tar Tan. This material brings in several different colors such as gray, blacks and browns. Lastly this material has enough movement to lead the eye throughout the kitchen. Overall, this kitchen turned out amazingly and the new homeowner is extremely happy with it.

Cement tile is all the rage in homes these days. There are endless patterns and colors that can really catch you eye. Some homeowners look at cement like they do natural stone and do not want to have to maintain it. In this case, the homeowner chose a 7X7 decorative tile that looks like cement (and the collection is called cement) but it's a porcelain! There is no sealing required and the material is extremely durable! The cool thing about it is that the individual pieces can be laid multiple ways to create several different patterns. In this case, the homeowner decided on a diamond shape and it looks incredible - definitely one of a kind. The shower walls are a white 4X16 subway tile on a brick lay. As usual, a 2X2 porcelain mosaic is used for the shower floor. All these elements play nicely together but there's no doubt about it - the floor steals the show!

The detached garage doubles as a pool cabana with a bathroom featuring Therma-Tru doors and Integrity windows. The back corner of the garage is home to a custom covered outdoor kitchen with a granite countertop bar and sink. Components include a natural gas grill, refrigerator, storage, ice maker, and trash drawer from Blaze Outdoor Products. Overhead, the ceiling is made of Synergy Wood Products. The structure also has fluted trim to match the existing house style which was extremely important to the customer. The large paver patio creates an outdoor living area with several areas in which to relax or entertain friends and family. The first area includes patio furniture and a fire pit located close to the sunroom. From there, a walkway leads to the largest pool we’ve designed and built to date! The paver field is Techo-Bloc Blu 60 in Champlain Gray and the paver border is Unilock Copthorne in Basalt in a double sailor row. While the pavers are from two different vendors, they look beautiful together and bring out the look that the family was looking for.

The renovation of full of a house in Port Moody was a huge responsibility. Equally important, the house is now completed to bring satisfaction to the owner. Next, the owner renovated all the restrooms and bedrooms. Moreover, the bedrooms in the house are requested by the owner. Using bright white colors created a modern and prominent feeling for the house. In addition, the customer also refurbished the entire house. However, the design added some accents, so that the house looks different. Overall, this renovation has made customers extremely satisfied. Building a home for this dynamic family was a true joy!
