With a location-to-die-for on Great Neck-Ipswich, MA, this perfectly perched home was desperate for an upgrade. The clients, anxious to downsize and create a lifestyle more true to their hearts, left their hectic Wellesley address behind and set out, with kayaks in tow, for life on The Neck! Once a cookie-cutter spec-home, this reinvented craftsman style, now reminiscent of Martha’s Vineyard and the like, will inspire you to rub your eyes, blink hard and say, “We’re not in Wellesley anymore!”. The selections couldn’t have been more appropriate: Cascade Blue window cladding to compliment the Seacoast Grey Maibec shingles, the simulated divided light/multi-pane windows, the nature-inspired & earthy color palette, partially paned door, tapered columns, and an outdoor (Vineyard staple) shower adorned by a pergola overhead. The understated outdoor shower only adds to the vacation feel of this retirement retreat, perfect for rinsing off the sand after a day at Clark Beach or kayaking Ipswich Bay & Plum Island Sound. A wide sliding barn door makes the room easily accessible during hectic morning routines and an overall lighter colour palette ensures the room feels fresh, even when it's still dark outside. One of my favourite details in the whole house is the dark charcoal hexagon floor tile that carries into the shower floor as well - we loved the subtle variance in tones as you look across it. A bubble-shaped light fixture above the bathtub creates a relaxed, whimsical vibe and is such a fun element to this space. Towers on either side of the vanity keep the center clear for maximum counter space but provide that extra bit of storage you can always put to good use in a bathroom space! The vanity area is separated from the shower/water closet room by a pocket door. The vessel sinks provide an opportunity to customized and maximize the storage behind each drawer front (no false fronts here). The lighted mirrors provide comprehensive illumination for grooming. The shower, with dual shower heads and shampoo niches provides plenty of room for dual bathing during hectic morning preparations. An electrical outlet by the toilet allows for plug and play installation in the event the homeowners choose to install a bidet toilet seat. Beautiful fiber wall paper, heated floors, heated towel bar and tubular skylights round out the luxurious feel of this primary bathroom. Remodeled in 2020.

A young couple that relocated to Boston were eager to transform their duplex into a cozy and luxurious haven, to ease some pressure on their hectic lives. We worked together to balance their distinctive tastes - a blend of modern elegance from Singapore and rich traditions from South Carolina. Despite the duplex’s limited space, we skillfully maximized every inch without compromising on an open and airy feel. Our attention to detail allowed us to overcome the challenges posed by the limited space in their duplex. We managed to optimized every square inch while ensuring that the home still felt spacious. From clever storage solutions to strategic furniture placement we were able to mend functionality with style while never compromising on that open and airy feel. We wanted to bring the sense of luxury into the home, to make it feel like a space where the young couple could relax once the work day had finished. We chose luxurious textures and carefully selected materials and products to create an ambiance that evoked comfort and tranquility. The home showcases the couple’s shared vision, with each room telling a unique story of their journey, heritage and personal style. We are so happy to have been able to create this couples dream of a cozy and luxurious haven. A place where they could relax and let go of the demands of their busy lives!
