It intrigues your ideas and thoughts, it pushes the people within the space to feel inspired, successful and hopeful. The contemporary and industrial textures mixed together form a team of undeniable unity. This type of feeling comes form the depth of colors that are used along side the natural stains thought the home. The textures found in the wheatgrass wallpapers throughout the space, lend a softer flavor up against the stone, and large paneled porcelain on the fireplaces. Window coverings, drapes and the window drape liners soften the direct lines in this project. Porcelain countertops create a contemporary feel in the kitchen and bathrooms. Porcelain countertops are a home run! If you're looking for a product that doesn't require maintenance but looks amazing, porcelain countertops are a product used often in high end homes and have great success. Of course, install is usually only successful when using the correct installer. Laminam porcelain countertops don't hair line fracture like many of the other porcelain countertops.
Foran Interior DesignI worked with the clients on this custom built home from the ground up. I sat down with them and asked them many questions so that I could capture their style and provide them with a beautiful environment that is uniquely their own.
The client wanted a mostly French feel but wanted to mix in antiques and other interesting items they had collected. They also wanted a warm feel with plenty of color. They liked pattern and texture.
I used warm colors like gold and red including deep red walls in the kitchen and dining room. I designed the interior architecture to create the drama they wanted. We used softer more serene feeling in the master bedroom. The client wanted unique details like the niche I designed to accommodate the maestro, the acid washed marble floor and the mixture of antique art within the decor.
I put together a book for the client and also the builder that showed all the details and selections, which included architectural design, flooring, paint color, paint treatments, lighting, cabinet design, plumbing fixtures, counter tops, hardware, furniture, draperies, custom rugs, accessories and artwork.
The end result was a very happy client and the home was picked for a home show.

Drury DesignEntertaining was a big part of these homeowners lives, so much so they desired to transform their living room into a new Bar for just that purpose. The goal was to do so in a way that would make the space flow with the other rooms in the house and incorporate colors and materials that felt cohesive with the rest of the home.
The challenging part of achieving this design was finding a happy medium between a “pub style” bar and full on kitchen space. In addition, the materials needed to be durable and hold up to what the space would be for, entertaining! The space was designed with darker cabinets to feel more like furniture pieces within the room. Floating shelves with a high counter, open wine cabinets, and glass doors add to the furniture feel. Streamline, decorative lighting was added to make the space feel more inviting with it’s softer, glass accents.
A beer dispenser was incorporated into the lower-level bar area and a second level was designed as part of the main bar area to incorporate seating for 8. Tall, glass door cabinets that flank the entry were designed to display the homeowner’s stemware. Above the tall glass cabinets are open “X” wine storage for additional bottles.

The grand chandelier made up of dozens of swirled glass balls softens the expanse of the cielo quartzite used on the family sized island, while the softer, textured shade gives off a warm glow and calls out the charm of the built-in breakfast nook. The removal of the upper cabinets in favor of a large picture window, splash detail, and statement sconces leaves the cabinetry feeling more like a piece of furniture than a bank of cabinets flanked by pantry and appliance. A soft, coastal inspired palette becomes exciting through the use of a variety of textures found in the leathered stone, handcrafted clay backsplash, swirled glass lighting, and built in seating.
