We turned an attic into a writer's garret. Honey-toned wood floors combine with warm gray wainscoting to make for an appealing space. Sconces by Portland's own Cedar & Moss. A live edge wall-to-wall walnut wood desk provides ample room for writing, mapping out research and story materials, and custom file folder and shelves tuck underneath. This multigenerational home plan is a beautiful and elegant solution to multiple generations living while maintaining privacy for each unit. This extra tall base cabinet for a standing desk is equipped with a flat roll-out for the printer/scanner/copier. Beneath it is a file drawer but a thin roll-out drawer in shorter cabinetry works well for ink refills and reams of paper. Whether or not there is space for a top drawer is based on the overall desk height as well as the type of printer you have.
