Our client was ready for a re-do and approached Renovisions for help to design and build a beautiful and durable space that will last as well as add value to her home. The challenge was to design the new kitchen to allow for better traffic, flow and functionalize this space for much needed storage. Moving the refrigerator to the other side of the kitchen and opening up a section of the wall between the dining room and kitchen was a great design solution. We increased the flow to the dining room and created a spacious feel with better access from the dining area. Warm hues from the granite countertops provided a rich contrast to the Ivory colored cabinetry that brightened up the room. Under-cabinet lighting was added over all countertop areas and is controlled by a dimmer switch for both task and ambient lighting. The brushed nickel hardware compliments the stainless steel appliances and Jado pull-down single lever faucet. This spec home investor came to DSA with a unique challenge: to create a residence that could be sold for 8-10 million dollars on a 2-3 million dollar construction budget. The investor gave the design team complete creative control on the project, giving way to an opportunity for the team to pursue anything and everything as long as it fit in the construction budget. The lot chosen for the home sits on the beautiful St. Petersburg waterfront, and Designers made sure to take advantage of this at every angle of the home, creating sweeping views that flow between the exterior and interior spaces. The home boasts wide open spaces created by long-span trusses, and floor to ceiling glass and windows that promote natural light throughout the home. With the nearest major town almost 45 minutes away, it was essential this vacation home offered all the amenities for entertainment and relaxation. Spire worked with the client to create the perfect lake house retreat with comfort and convenience during any season or weather. The living room with an attached game room is a versatile space that offers endless entertainment. A 65” TV was installed over the fireplace in the custom stone wall. The adjustable mount allows the TV to lower for comfortable viewing from either the couch or pool table. A pair of Meridian Audio DSP7200 custom color matched speakers equipped with a Meridian Audio 218 digital controller were strategically installed on each side of the fireplace.
