These clients have recently moved from a New York City apartment to a home in Southern Connecticut. The house had gorgeous bones for living and entertaining — even a great pool! What a thrill to renovate and furnish, top to bottom, this super charming split-level with clients having city taste. Their goal was to have the whole house flow seamlessly, remain masculine in feel, and feel large enough to entertain. An elegant, modern revival of the Spanish Tudor style, the high-contrast white stucco and black details pop against the natural backdrop. These units come single-sided, see-thru, corner unit, or 4-sided glass enclosure. Glass height normally comes in 12", 20", 30", or 36" but can be adjusted. Our client was ready for a re-do and approached Renovisions for help to design and build a beautiful and durable space that will last as well as add value to her home. The challenge was to design the new kitchen to allow for better traffic, flow and functionalize this space for much needed storage. Moving the refrigerator to the other side of the kitchen and opening up a section of the wall between the dining room and kitchen was a great design solution. We increased the flow to the dining room and created a spacious feel with better access from the dining area. Warm hues from the granite countertops provided a rich contrast to the Ivory colored cabinetry that brightened up the room. Under-cabinet lighting was added over all countertop areas and is controlled by a dimmer switch for both task and ambient lighting. The brushed nickel hardware compliments the stainless steel appliances and Jado pull-down single lever faucet. The walls are a warm and inviting earthy green tone and ties in well with the soft linen hue of the beautiful subway tile backsplash. Simple, clean lines and earthy materials like granite and stainless steel worked together to soften the whole look. Renovisions turned this outdated kitchen into a magnificent space where this homeowner plans on spending a lot of time.

Every so often we get the unique opportunity to collaborate with another designer. This quirky and elegant master bath could not have been more fun to be a part of. Meg Miller's incredibly cool vision for her clients' master bathroom was modern and bold, but refined, comfortable and inviting. The clients had specific needs for storage and the use of space, but didn't want anything to appear function-over-form. No amenities were overlooked: custom walnut cabinetry, heated floors, a digitally controlled shower and steam shower, and an all glass water-closet.

This airial shot give a great perspective. It shows how the deck truly flows from the house out to the pool. We kept clean lines in the design of the deck that helps the budget under control. The other advantages was it really works with the house and maximised usable space. Bob Skinner
