Pondless in-ground water feature. The 1,000 gallon cistern sits below the rocks and is fed only with rainwater captured from the roof and what falls on the stream. The sound of the babbling brook helps to sooth the owner and cuts down on the road noise nearby. © Ecology Artisans

The clients for this modern stucco and masonry house had lived for 18 years in a smaller house on this same site: a level, corner lot with many mature trees. They wanted generous living spaces for the family of four to be able to be together and entertain while still allowing each person private spaces for sleeping, recreation, and study.
The house is designed in two wings creating an "L" along the site's corner and around a courtyard with a lap pool. The shape of the house allows the longest view of the site as a captured quiet space, now fully landscaped. The "L" wings accommodate the bedrooms, dens and studies. In the crook of the wings sits a higher family and public entertaining space that overlooks the garden and pool.
My clients now enjoy maximum urban privacy and full-site enjoyment of their property in their close-to-downtown neighborhood.
Materials, selected from a subtle-range color pallet, give the house the solidity and tranquility the clients originally desired.

This light renovation and furnishings project was designed for a well-traveled family looking to create a comfortable, sophisticated retreat in their Toronto home. Located in the iconic Oaklands condos—a landmark in one of midtown’s most vibrant communities—the space was reimagined to capture the refined feel of an upscale hotel while maintaining a sense of home.
The transformation included a new floating feature wall in the principal bedroom, a renovated powder room, and fully furnished living and bedroom spaces. Each element was carefully chosen to balance elegance with ease, creating a polished yet inviting environment that reflects the clients’ lifestyle and love of travel.

The entrance to this inviting living room is marked by two custom-made columns. The room’s focal point is the gas fireplace, which is surrounded by white Carrara marble and is topped with a white wood, crown moulding mantel. To draw the eye, the wall behind the fireplace is covered in custom, raised panel wainscoting. Other architectural millwork in the room includes wainscoting, crown moulding and door trim. The red oak hardwood flooring continues from the foyer, adding to the home's expansive and airy feel.
This light and airy home in Chadds Ford, PA, was a custom home renovation for long-time clients that included the installation of red oak hardwood floors, the master bedroom, master bathroom, two powder rooms, living room, dining room, study, foyer and staircase. remodel included the removal of an existing deck, replacing it with a beautiful flagstone patio. Each of these spaces feature custom, architectural millwork and custom built-in cabinetry or shelving. A special showcase piece is the continuous, millwork throughout the 3-story staircase. Presenting a customer case from Marseille, France! ??✨ Our client owns a charming 75 sqm, two-bedroom apartment that exudes a captivating vintage and rustic countryside mix. Seeking suitable lighting fixtures for each space, their primary focus was on pendant lights that would provide localized illumination, ample brightness, seamlessly blend with the room's style, and align with their modern, minimalist, and sustainable design preferences.
After reviewing the client's floor plan, we identified the areas that required pendant lighting installation: the living room, balcony, two bedrooms, and dining area. Through multiple consultations, we finalized a lighting plan that predominantly featured bamboo and rattan pendant lights, perfectly capturing the desired ambiance.
Starting with the living room, a cozy 21 sqm space, we recommended a delightful bamboo pendant light with a touch of rustic charm, ideal for providing localized illumination. Moving to the balcony, which exudes a vintage vibe, we suggested a popular Southeast Asian-inspired bamboo pendant light, making it a captivating centerpiece.
For the bedrooms, we proposed two distinct pendant lights. The first choice was a captivating lotus leaf-shaped bamboo ceiling light, offering a remarkable decorative effect. The second option was a circular white rattan pendant light, radiating a refreshing and serene atmosphere, perfect for creating a tranquil bedroom setting.
In the dining area, where a vintage and rustic countryside theme prevails, we recommended a lotus leaf-shaped pendant light, similar to the one in the bedrooms, but with an adjustable hanging wire. This choice ensures optimal lighting for both the dining space and the vibrant colors of the delectable dishes.
Upon receiving the lighting fixtures, our client expressed utmost satisfaction, stating that each pendant light perfectly aligned with their requirements. We are thrilled to share this case with all of you, hoping it sparks inspiration and ideas for your own home decoration endeavors. ✨?

Nestled into a sloping site, Aman 10 uses the hill’s natural grade to its advantage to capture views, create a daylight basement and control water runoff. A series of sod roofs cascade down the hill, blending the residence into the hillside. Slatted doors and walls create transparency, contrasted by a solid material palette of sandstone, redwood and bronze. Shed roofs define primary interior space joined by flat sod roofs capping transitional spaces.
