The entry is on center with the lot’s primary Live Oak tree, and each interior space has a unique relationship to this central element. This Manhattan prewar apartment living room was redesigned to balance historic architectural character with modern comfort. Custom wall paneling, a recessed tray ceiling with integrated cove lighting, and restored fireplace detailing establish a timeless foundation, while black-framed windows, warm herringbone flooring, and tailored furnishings introduce a contemporary edge. A restrained palette of soft neutrals, natural textures, and layered materials creates an inviting space designed for both everyday living and entertaining.

This outdoor kitchen/bar provides everything you need to entertain your guests outdoors. The stainless steel cabinets along the wall house a sink, refrigerator and plenty of storage.

Our goal on this project was to create a live-able and open feeling space in a 690 square foot modern farmhouse. We planned for an open feeling space by installing tall windows and doors, utilizing pocket doors and building a vaulted ceiling. An efficient layout with hidden kitchen appliances and a concealed laundry space, built in tv and work desk, carefully selected furniture pieces and a bright and white colour palette combine to make this tiny house feel like a home. We achieved our goal of building a functionally beautiful space where we comfortably host a few friends and spend time together as a family. John McManus

The homeowners desired an outdoor space that felt more rustic than their refined interior spaces, but still related architecturally to their house. Cement plaster support arbor columns provide enough of visual tie to the existing house exterior. Oversized wood beams and rafter members provide a unique outdoor atmosphere.
