Dining room - transitional medium tone wood floor dining room idea in Atlanta with white walls

Nestled in the small village community of Anmore, 45 minutes away from downtown Vancouver, this stunning 5100 s.f. 5 bedroom French Country residence designed by Barone Developments was recognized by the Canadian Home Builders Association in 2010 as one of the best newly constructed residences in British Columbia. Situated on a half-acre estate, this home features classic French Country architectural design elements and was designed specifically for families who enjoyed entertaining. Two sets of 8’ French doors look out to a spectacular wooded area and lead to a 500 s.f. outdoor living space complete with BBQ, fridge, fireplace and infra-red heaters. A calm modern colour-palette on the upper two floors complements the dark maple hardwood, white shaker-style cabinetry, pewter wrought-iron railing, and Carrara marble surfaces. A warmer colour palette was selected for the lower level of the home which was designed with large gatherings in mind and features a spectacular bar, games and lounge area all just steps away from a 30’ x 50’ Sports Court situated at the rear of the property. Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood is decidedly Victorian to the casual observer. However, while this young family appreciates the Beacon Hill aesthetic, they preferred a more updated, contemporary interior to fit their urban lifestyle. We created living spaces with elements that both respected the historic architecture and gave the homeowners the modern, clean-lines they desired. This contemporary farmhouse is located on a scenic acreage in Greendale, BC. It features an open floor plan with room for hosting a large crowd, a large kitchen with double wall ovens, tons of counter space, a custom range hood and was designed to maximize natural light. Shed dormers with windows up high flood the living areas with daylight. The stairwells feature more windows to give them an open, airy feel, and custom black iron railings designed and crafted by a talented local blacksmith. The home is very energy efficient, featuring R32 ICF construction throughout, R60 spray foam in the roof, window coatings that minimize solar heat gain, an HRV system to ensure good air quality, and LED lighting throughout. Perched on a knoll atop a lakeside peninsula, this transitional home combines English manor-inspired details with more contemporary design elements. The exterior is constructed from Doggett Mountain stone and wavy edge siding topped with a slate roof.
