Tight insulation, photovoltaic and thermal solar panels, deep overhangs and Lowen triple pane windows earned builder, Chris Shea, an outstanding 25 HERS rating. The interior boasts a magnificent free form radius staircase by New England Stair Company, which won a Special Focus Award, and the spectacular two-story library with steel catwalk (pictured) features a secret door to a spiral stair and cigar room. Other notable features include a glass walled wine room, a glass enclosed pentagon shaped sunroom and a Wetstyle tub in the spa bath.

Symbiotic by Jon Allen (JAC 281) The Jon Allen Collection is an exclusive, hand-selected group of my most personal work to date. Each piece is hand-painted on aluminum. My art itself and my chosen medium, aluminum, are blissfully married. You may not think of the word organic when you hear the word metal, but this is some of my most organic art and that’s simply because metal allows my work to achieve true sentience. Aluminum’s naturally reflective nature enables each color, shape, and stroke to reach its full potential. A new aspect of the painting will reveal itself to you as it basks in the light that surrounds, evades, or envelops it in that moment. When you see the piece from different angles, you will appreciate how vibrant, dynamic, and environmentally influenced these pieces are. What you may see and feel by morning is not what you’ll see or feel by dusk and in many ways, and as such I feel these pieces capture the ever-ebbing and complex nature of human emotion and perception. Some of these pieces are truly abstract while others are modern takes on traditional landscapes, marine life, and portraits. I hope you enjoy them a fraction of how much I enjoyed creating them. 2B is at once a tranquil art gallery and a comfortable residence; white walls as a simple canvas that bears the quiet sophistication of hovering sculptures and framed compositions of brushstrokes and purposeful blots. Exposed structural concrete and sliding panels of timber begin to define the ephemeral lightness and contain the sideboard that complements the living space, just as the bay windows frame the dynamic mountainous scenes beyond. Natural light afforded by the bays begins to change in timbre and so the sculptural shadows begin to dance to the soft bending pentatonic melodies by the lady of the house - the artiste in residence. - www.0932.am Type . A new boutique condominium building with only 29 residences in one of the most charming residential enclaves in Manhattan: 40 East End Avenue. In this dynamic collaboration with Gerner Kronick & Valcarel Architects and Deborah Berke Partners, Lightstone Group transcends the condominium status quo with the curated creation of nuanced individual residences designed to be true homes. The custom high-gloss lacquer painted Italian kitchen cabinetry, by Pedini, is complemented with hand-selected Italian Arabescato Cervaiole marble slabs. Upper cabinet doors feature a unique woven metal mesh panel and bevelled trim, adding a refined pattern to the kitchen composition. The state-of-the-art appliances by Gaggenau and the substantial kitchen island are as vital to cooking as they are to entertaining. The master bathroom, featuring a 6 foot soaking tub, walk-in shower and private water closet, is clad in Arabescato Cervaiole marble in a high-honed finish, complemented by fluted mirrored glass panels, Pedini custom Italian vanity and Waterworks Henry fixtures in polished nickel.

Interior Style Designs Client hired us to help design window treatments for the whole house. This is a new build and there were no existing window treatments. We were hired due to our help in choosing fabrics, drapery and shade styles and our involved detail in going over all aspects of functionality and installation. This project was over 15 custom fabric pleated roman shades and 3 draperies for the family room, loft and master bedroom. In the end, our client was thrilled with the outcome. Most importantly, the clients knew what to expect from start to finish.
