Organized to Inspire: Basement Workshop with Industrial Flair
This highly functional basement workshop proves that style and storage can go hand in hand. Outfitted with industrial-style open shelving, a stainless steel utility sink, and a vintage yellow tool chest, this workspace was designed for productivity. The custom pegboards and magnetic tool holders offer clever vertical storage, while the sturdy, sticker-clad workbench stands ready for projects big and small. Epoxy floors, open ceilings, and brilliant lighting round out the space, making it as efficient as it is inspiring. Whether you're a weekend DIYer or a seasoned maker, this is a workshop that works hard and looks great doing it.

My client wanted a dramatic entry that would reflect their transitional style. We added glamour throughout with the use of crystal in chandelier, sconces, lamps and sculpture. We used warm grays and kept the space very neutral. We added texture with the area rugs, window treatments and upholstered chairs.

Antique chests call to mind the luggage once used by rail or ocean voyagers.
Handmade of brushed steel or genuine leather over a solid wood frame Accented with over thousands of hand-hammered brass nailheads Canvas-lined drawers offer ample storage Features a functional lid (optional) Leather-bound corner brackets, leather-wrapped handles, oak slats with a tobacco finish and cast-metal antiqued hardware No two are exactly alike, making each trunk truly unique.
Louis Vuitton Malletier was founded in 1821 an age of vast imperialist expansion. With the introduction of steamships and railroads, travel was suddenly easily accessible for the masses and allowed for safer and more comfortable journeys. During the grandeur of the Second Empire, Vuitton became the personal box-maker and packer to the Empress of France, Eugénie de Montijo. Soon, Vuitton was designing for other elite and royal clients, a status that the brand has maintained until today. Our voyage collection classic trunk look brings back memories of the storage trunks used on those long sea voyages by our ancestors. The leather strip edges bound with exposed nail heads, combined with classic hardware is sure to bring the memories of what they had gone through to make us who we are today.

This room was the formal dining room. We raised the ceilings from 8' to 14' and added the contemporary bi-fold doors to create a muti-functional space that can be used as a formal dining room, home office, game room or even an additional bedroom.

Adding trim to the main wall in the entry integrates the portion of the space below the dropped ceiling with the rest of the wall -- visually and functionally enlarging the space. The depth of the bulkhead dictated the size and proportion of the panels we created. We wanted to highlight the trim here, to add interest and definition, so we had them painted antique gold. The ceiling too was given a glam mottled gold finish. The simple, modern chandelier is oversized for the space, but its spare lines keep it from being overwhelming.
A new smaller but bolder console table -- its black and gold echoing the stronger details of the living room beyond -- is given added importance by the full-length mirror behind it. The client's own chairs were moved from the family room -- where they were just "okay". Here their contemporary style nicely contrasts with the ornate chest. Together with the client's bench on the other side of the door, they create an inviting seating area for parties, as well as a thoughtful aid when donning or doffing footwear.
The area rug just coincidentally was already on the floor in the family room, where it was too small and too strong for the furnishings. Here it takes on a whole new life as the PERFECT finishing touch.

A couple was desperately seeking a creative “wow” factor for their master bedroom. This bedroom was lacking in function and overall beauty. Taking inspirations from art, fashion, ethnic patterns, and mixing in a few tailored elements make this a room with more than just a view. Mixing metals and mirrors add sparkle. Addressing light control with custom window treatments that soften and frame the room while adding a luxe layer to the high drama of the metallic faux painted walls that serve as the eye-catching backdrop. The perfect shade of persimmon selected as the accents to this lovely mauve, champagne, and white color scheme for a more edgy take on the overall project for client’s who wanted out of the beige box.

Quality pieces chosen with a discerning eye are the thread that ties this room together. A quite corner just for him holds a comfortable chair for night reading while sipping on his favorite drink. On her corner a fluffy chaise and fur spread for winter reading would make her feel like a queen. More elegant details on her side of the closet like this elegant pink “Grange” Bombay chest and a tree sculpture become a functional jewelry tree.

The homeowners of this Marblehead residence wished to remodel their master bathroom, which had been redone only a few years prior. The previous renovation, however, was not a pleasant experience and they were hesitant to dive-in again. After an initial conversation, the homeowners agreed to meet with me to discuss the project.
listened to their vision for the room, paid close attention to their concerns, and desire to create a tranquil environment, that would be functional and practical for their everyday lifestyle.
In my first walk-through of the existing bathroom, several major issues became apparent. First, the vanity, a wooden table with two vessel sinks, did not allow access to the medicine cabinets due to its depth. Second, an oversized window installed in the shower did not provide privacy and had visible signs of rot. Third, the wallpaper by the shower was peeling and contained mold due to moisture. Finally, the hardwood flooring selected was impractical for a master bathroom.
My suggestion was to incorporate timeless and classic materials that would provide longevity and create an elegant environment. I designed a standard depth custom vanity which contained plenty of storage. We chose lovely white and blue quartzite counter tops, white porcelain tile that mimic the look of Thasos marble, along with blue accents, polished chrome fixtures and coastal inspired lighting. Next, we replaced, relocated, and changed the window style and shape. We then fabricated a window frame out of the quartzite for protection which proved to give the shower a lovely focal point. Lastly, to keep with the coastal theme of the room, we installed shiplap for the walls.
The homeowners now look forward to starting and ending their day in their bright and relaxing master bath. It has become a sanctuary to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Two phases completed in 2020 & 2021 included kitchen and primary bath remodels. Bright, light, fresh and simple describe these beautiful spaces fit just for our clients.
The primary bath was a fun project to complete. A few must haves for this space were a place to incorporate the Peloton, more functional storage and a welcoming showering/bathing area.
The space was primarily left in the same configuration, but we were able to make it much more welcoming and efficient. The walk in shower has a small bench for storing large bottles and works as a perch for shaving legs. The entrance is doorless and allows for a nice open experience + the pebbled shower floor. The freestanding tub took the place of a huge built in tub deck creating a prefect space for Peleton next to the vanity. The vanity was freshened up with equal spacing for the dual sinks, a custom corner cabinet to house supplies and a charging station for sonicares and shaver. Lastly, the corner by the closet door was underutilized and we placed a storage chest w/ quartz countertop there.
The overall space included freshening up the paint/millwork in the primary bedroom.
