A jewel-box townhouse with a high/low approach gave our busy working couple a design-forward space, arousing a new sense of happiness and pride in their home. With a love for entertaining, our clients needed a space that would meet their functional needs and be a reflection of them. They brought on Pulp to create a vision that would functionally articulate their style. Our design team imagined this edgy concept with lots of unique style elements, texture, and contrast. Pulp mixed luxury items, such as the bone-inlay cocktail table and textual black croc wall covering, and offset them with more affordable whimsical touches, like individual framed feathers. Beth and Carolina pushed their tastes to the limit with unexpected touches, like the split face bookends and the teak hand chair, to add a quirky layer and graphic edge that our homeowners would come to fall in love with.

The style has not passed the saturation point and it blends seamlessly with so many other periods and styles. Mid Century is about more than the individual furniture pieces. We think of that era of manufacturing as particularly fertile and creative in terms of the materials used, like plastics, fiberglass, wood, metal, etc. You will find designs where form follows function. A couple with two small children requested a modern garden that would work for the whole family but one that wouldn’t feel too child orientated. As a design conscious couple they wanted a space that would stand the test of time and grow with their family, something that would be graphic and contemporary. A design working with interconnecting geometrical shapes was used for this layout, with level changes which add a dynamic dimension to this garden. The areas set out in the space created separate zones that can have a multitude of uses for the family; areas for the adults and children to come together or to use separately and they can be swapped around if desired making a play area into a dining area and visa versa. The spaces are separated by contemporary planting beds, which can be viewed and appreciated from all angles. The clipped box used in the garden compliments the strong graphic lines in the space which create the individual areas. This garden was a finalist in the SGD awards, was featured in Homes and Gardens plus was selected by Alan Titchmarsh as one of his favourite gardens in the UK!

The Skypak Airline Trolley – Airport Codes Edition translates this universal visual language into a distinctive piece of contemporary furniture.
