We've already seen an enthusiastic acceptance of these new colors as homeowners started immediately selecting our various shades of gray paints, like this example of “Storm Gray”, for their new homes and remodeling projects!
Dura Supreme’s “Storm Gray” is the darkest of our new gray painted finishes (although our current “Graphite” paint finish is a charcoal gray that is almost black). For those that like the popular contrast between light and dark finishes, Storm Gray pairs beautifully with lighter painted and stained finishes.

Studio SteidleyThis kitchen just needed a little freshening up. We painted all the cabinetry and replaced beadboard on the vent hood and the island with a vertical shiplap application. The island is highlighted by the amazing granite.

The island's gray cabinetry provides contrast to the white kitchen cabinets, quartzite countertops, and marble backsplash. The cabinets fill the 9' ceiling volume with lit glass-front displays at the top. The stools coordinate with the table and chairs as well as the sunroom, all in easily cleanable performance fabric. MMI DesignThis existing client reached out to MMI Design for help shortly after the flood waters of Harvey subsided. Her home was ravaged by 5 feet of water throughout the first floor. What had been this client's long-term dream renovation became a reality, turning the nightmare of Harvey's wrath into one of the loveliest homes designed to date by MMI. We led the team to transform this home into a showplace. Our work included a complete redesign of her kitchen and family room, master bathroom, two powders, butler's pantry, and a large living room. MMI designed all millwork and cabinetry, adjusted the floor plans in various rooms, and assisted the client with all material specifications and furnishings selections. Returning these clients to their beautiful '"new" home is one of MMI's proudest moments!

DEANE Inc | Distinctive Design & CabinetryThis was a complete interior renovation project of a client’s second home. DEANE collaborated with the client on the design of 5 bathrooms and all the built-ins in addition to the kitchen. The home had an open floor plan with wide pine, bleached flooring throughout but was a challenge because of the various ceiling heights and support beams that needed to be accommodated.The homeowner wanted to able to casually host large gatherings without worrying about maintenance or upkeep. The kitchen cabinetry, featuring chamfer style doors, is painted a pale grey, with a darker, charcoal grey selected for the center island to accent the space. All appliances are stainless steel, with the dishwasher and trash/recycling drawers faced in the same material to mimic the dishwasher. The countertops are an engineered quartz in white, while the cooktop backsplash is a white ceramic tile in a soothing herringbone pattern. The counter cabinet with its glass front for dish storage and floating shelves that anchor two corners of the room are the designer’s favorite things about the space.

Susan Marocco InteriorsOriginal kitchen was gutted and the layout changed. A large bay window was added to give more space and add light.
Custom rift wood cabinets were designed and a custom paint applied in a soft strie pattern. Concrete counter tops added a contemporary feel. A light grey was used for the center island over the dark cabinetry and a darker grey concrete counter was used for the perimeter cabinets. Concrete is very versatile, seams are reduced, color can be any paint choice, and the material is very stain resistant with very little maintenance.
The client wanted a pop of red- so we had an auto body shop apply 16 coats of red paint to the new Best Hood.
Rudloff Custom BuildersThis kitchen has many interesting elements that set it apart.
The sense of openness is created by the raised ceiling and multiple ceiling levels, lighting and light colored cabinets.
A custom hood over the stone back splash creates a wonderful focal point with it's traditional style architectural mill work complimenting the islands use of reclaimed wood (as seen on the ceiling as well) transitional tapered legs, and the use of Carrara marble on the island top.
