The homeowner of this kitchen is an avid plant lover, so of course we wanted to include that in the design and layout of the kitchen. We went with glazed black cherry cabinets and a wood ceiling to bring the outdoors into the home. The countertops have muted earth tones and bronze specks to complement the oil rubbed bronze hardware. This kitchen design draws warmth from the colors of the wood floor and counter top and the homeowners had dark light fixtures and chose black knobs and handles to contrast the white.

The cabinets, from Crystal Cabinets, are natural cherry with a simple shaker door style. We chose a beaded inset frame to dress it up. The valances above and below the sink and the oil rubbed bronze handles and knobs completes the look and feel the homeowners desired.

The full glass cabinets throughout the kitchen were designed for displaying the homeowners’ fun and attractive collection of dishware and decorative pieces. There is plenty of storage to hold and display dishware and lots of surface area for cooking and entertaining large parties.
