This cleverly moves the rainwater down the sloped driveway where it can flow down into the street and into the town’s stormwater drain.

This is a recent installation in the San Antonio area. Once again, this is a K-Style seamless aluminum gutter system. You can see that the side of the house is comprised of two different siding materials. The owners chose to have their new gutter system painted in a crisp, clean yellow to match the top of their siding. Tucked behind the small shrub, you can see the direction of the downspout. It has been positioned to carry water away from the house, where it evenly disperses over the side lawn.

In this angle, we see how extensively previous leaks damaged the window frames. More importantly, this photo shows how different roof levels work together. Many gutter companies add a downspout from the highest point that empties onto the lower surface. In this case, we used separate downspouts for each floor. Possible water volumes made this decision easy. Rather than add stress to one gutter, we let them split the work. Additionally, the distance between the downspouts eases the job of properly controlling water at the ground level.

We performed a complete gutter and downspout installation on this split-level home in Buda, TX. This home’s siding is a beige with earth tone bricks. We consulted with the owner and they decided on the same beige for the gutters and downspouts. This is an example of your choices. You can either use a complementary color to turn your downspouts and gutters into a feature, or a similar color to the siding to cause them to blend in, like this homeowner.

This picture illustrates the color choice. The owners chose a light gray which perfectly matches the home’s siding. This works to blend the guttering in with the siding while also acting as a nice contrast to the brickwork. The gutter is designed to keep rainwater away from the siding, thus preventing rainwater runoff damage to surfaces.

This photo shows how the black of the roof gutter compliments the dark brickwork of the back part of the house. The downspout color blends unobtrusively against the light stone wall of the front portion of the house. The plants around the bottom of the downspout also act as a natural way to hide the boot.

Here is a picture of the newly installed fascia, taken from ground level. One of the problems with rotting or warped fascia is that it tends to pull away from the roof. This lets in even more rainwater. If that happens, the water will cause mold and mildew, not to mention continuing the rotting process from within.
