This kitchen has many interesting elements that set it apart. The sense of openness is created by the raised ceiling and multiple ceiling levels, lighting and light colored cabinets. A custom hood over the stone back splash creates a wonderful focal point. The traditionally styled architectural mill work compliments the island's use of reclaimed wood, transitional tapered legs, and white Carrara marble. This kitchen was featured in a Houzz Kitchen of the Week article! This fall, Amethyst had the opportunity to partner with Freeman Custom Homes of Kansas City to furnish this 5000 sq ft European Modern designed home for the Artisan Home Tour 2020! Every square inch of this home was magical -- from the secret staircase in the master bath leading to a private shuttered plunge pool to the vaulted kitchen with sky high mushroom colored cabinetry and handmade zellige tile. We met the builders during the cabinetry phase and watching their final, thoughtful design details evolve was such full of over-the-top surprises like the unique valet-like storage in the entry and limestone fireplace! As soon as we saw their vision for the home, we knew our furnishings would be a great match as our design style celebrates handmade rugs, artisan handmade custom seating, old-meets-new art, and let's be honest -- we love to go big! They trusted us to do our thing on the entire main level and we enjoyed every minute. The load in took 3 full trucks and fortunately for us -- the homeowners fell in love with several pieces so our uninstall trip was significantly lighter. I think we were all a little emotional leaving this masterpiece but sooooo happy for the owners and just hoping we get invited to a Christmas party... Here are some of the highlights -- 90% of the furnishings and rugs were from our shop and we filled in the gaps with some extra special pieces!

This was a special project for the client who had just purchased this home and had to leave for a few weeks to go gather their belongings. We are extremely grateful for the TRUST and confidence they had in our company and we did not let them down! We started off removing ALL the popcorn ceiling and updating to a newer smooth style. At the same time, they sent us a photo of a wood accent beam they would like to have so we custom made one for them. We also did a Kitchen Cabinet makeover which consisted of White uppers and space gray bottoms. The client is going to install new hinges and door handles. AL-in-ALL, clients are home and thanked us for the constant communication and photos we sent on a daily basis to ensure their level of comfort. They were so happy when they returned and is now part of the KANG Family!

This stunning kitchen exhibits elegance at every turn. Details abound in this gorgeous room. Crown molding, and "fluted pilaster" column details adorn the integrated hood over the electric cook top. Two slender utilitarian cabinets are disguised as "Fluted Pilaster" columns on each side of the three drawer base cabinet. A great place to store ingredients, trays and platters. The microwave in a stainless steel finish is hidden away on the island with a large drawer underneath for storage.
