This Renovation in Hollick Kenyon started with a previous failed tradesmen. The homeowner had a bad experience and the work wasn't completed. We cam in here and restored their trust in the trades.
Full bathroom renovation, all new. Ceiling, walls, windows, vanity cabinet, painting, mirror, fixtures, tile, plumbing, electrical, and floor. The plumbing consist of 4 jets, a rain shower, a handheld piece and another shower head. There is a 2 outlet steam shower system. Tileable grate shower drain for a continuous look. New bathroom floor tile, and glass doors.

From dated 90"s dark and blue to modern light and airy neutral's for this bathroom. The first to go was the boxed in bulk head over the vanity. This instantly made the space feel twice as large. The dated sunk in jet tub is replaced with a spa like free standing soaking tub. I love the farmhouse chandelier that we added. Beautiful large marble tile from floor to vertically up the walls make for a dramatic entry. The chic black vanity is accented with a timeless Carrara marble vanity top. Black framed beveled mirrors are planked with modern cylinder wall sconces. This high end bath is the perfect space to start and end the day.

Wealth corrupts, and even the most humble and weakest in society start misbehaving the minute it gets to their heads. Legends offered by several communities, separated by vast deserts and mighty rivers, show that this was, and still is, a problem in modern society.
Among the Luo, a Nilotic people found in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania around Lake Victoria, the story of Mahe & Nyar Mgondho was narrated to children to provide moral instructions that I will let you figure out.
The tale goes thus:
Mahe, a poor fisherman scraping a living on Nam Lolwe (what many now call L. Victoria), moved to the town of Gwasi to see if his fortunes would improve.
For many days, his fortune did not get any better. Sometimes he spent two consecutive days without catching anything meaning, meaning those days were spent in hunger.

A TOUCH OF FIN DE SIÈCLE. | The classical form of Madison, with its separate hot and cold taps, is reminiscent of historical fittings at the start of the twentieth century. But it is not only those of us who are prone to nostalgia who are excited by the sight of the indulgent, traditional shapes. Madison combines a nostalgic charm with functional elements. The elegant cross-handles, with their white porcelain elements, stylize the classical, historical model. A touch of fin de siècle. | Available at www.shopstudio41.com

We got to start with the most spacious master suite, essentially the full second floor of a classic Chicago Bungalow. We gutted the bathroom, swapping the huge dated tub for more storage, upgraded the dual pedestal sinks to a custom double vanity, and gave the double shower a makeover, adding a rain head. The renovations continued into the bedroom, office and window seat space with new flooring, lighting, window treatments, furniture and accessories throughout.

The challenge was to revive a main level bathroom, adjacent to the master bedroom, into a bright and fun bathroom that the homeowners love. We started by removing absolutely everything from the room. Gorgeous marble hexagon mosaic tile was added to the floor. The sink wall is the shining star with a Kohler pedestal sink installed on a modern navy blue glossy tile by Daltile. The Restoration Hardware, black framed medicine cabinet offers convenient storage. The Kohler soaking tub is surrounded by a classic white subway tile and dressed up with a striped shower curtain by Rejuvenation. The tile and marble slab shower niche offers a place to store shower amenities and the hand held shower slide bar unit allows for family members of various heights to easily find the perfect shower head height. This classic bathroom absolutely sings!

This Houston bathroom features polished chrome and a black-and-white palette, lending plenty of glamour and visual drama.
"We incorporated many of the latest bathroom design trends - like the metallic finish on the claw feet of the tub; crisp, bright whites and the oversized tiles on the shower wall," says Outdoor Homescapes' interior project designer, Lisha Maxey. "But the overall look is classic and elegant and will hold up well for years to come."
As you can see from the "before" pictures, this 300-square foot, long, narrow space has come a long way from its outdated, wallpaper-bordered beginnings.
"The client - a Houston woman who works as a physician's assistant - had absolutely no idea what to do with her bathroom - she just knew she wanted it updated," says Outdoor Homescapes of Houston owner Wayne Franks. "Lisha did a tremendous job helping this woman find her own personal style while keeping the project enjoyable and organized."
Let's start the tour with the new, updated floors. Black-and-white Carrara marble mosaic tile has replaced the old 8-inch tiles. (All the tile, by the way, came from Floor & Décor. So did the granite countertop.)
The walls, meanwhile, have gone from ho-hum beige to Agreeable Gray by Sherwin Williams. (The trim is Reflective White, also by Sherwin Williams.)
Polished "Absolute Black" granite now gleams where the pink-and-gray marble countertops used to be; white vessel bowls have replaced the black undermount black sinks and the cabinets got an update with glass-and-chrome knobs and pulls (note the matching towel bars):
The outdated black tub also had to go. In its place we put a doorless shower.
Across from the shower sits a claw foot tub - a 66' inch Sanford cast iron model in black, with polished chrome Imperial feet. "The waincoting behind it and chandelier above it," notes Maxey, "adds an upscale, finished look and defines the tub area as a separate space."
The shower wall features 6 x 18-inch tiles in a brick pattern - "White Ice" porcelain tile on top, "Absolute Black" granite on the bottom. A beautiful tile mosaic border - Bianco Carrara basketweave marble - serves as an accent ribbon between the two. Covering the shower floor - a classic white porcelain hexagon tile. Mounted above - a polished chrome European rainshower head.
"As always, the client was able to look at - and make changes to - 3D renderings showing how the bathroom would look from every angle when done," says Franks. "Having that kind of control over the details has been crucial to our client satisfaction," says Franks. "And it's definitely paid off for us, in all our great reviews on Houzz and in our Best of Houzz awards for customer service."
And now on to final details!
Accents and décor from Restoration Hardware definitely put Maxey's designer touch on the space - the iron-and-wood French chandelier, polished chrome vanity lights and swivel mirrors definitely knocked this bathroom remodel out of the park!
