This bathroom remodel was completed in Loganville, GA for Robert and Elaine. The homeowners wanted to keep their existing vanity cabinets, while changing the style to a more transitional look. The use of soft beige/greige colors really brightened up this bathroom, and the seamless glass shower really opens up the space.

Our Miami clients wanted a contemporary space, and we gave them hyper modernism with custom materials imported from Italy. A glass walk-in shower with sleek fixtures is a subtle touch to balance the dramatic artwork. Mid-sized transitional open concept ceramic tile and beige floor living room photo in Las Vegas with gray walls and no fireplace

The homeowners of this condo sought our assistance when downsizing from a large family home on Howe Sound to a small urban condo in Lower Lonsdale, North Vancouver. They asked us to incorporate many of their precious antiques and art pieces into the new design. Our challenges here were twofold; first, how to deal with the unconventional curved floor plan with vast South facing windows that provide a 180 degree view of downtown Vancouver, and second, how to successfully merge an eclectic collection of antique pieces into a modern setting. We began by updating most of their artwork with new matting and framing. We created a gallery effect by grouping like artwork together and displaying larger pieces on the sections of wall between the windows, lighting them with black wall sconces for a graphic effect. We re-upholstered their antique seating with more contemporary fabrics choices - a gray flannel on their Victorian fainting couch and a fun orange chenille animal print on their Louis style chairs. We selected black as an accent colour for many of the accessories as well as the dining room wall to give the space a sophisticated modern edge. The new pieces that we added, including the sofa, coffee table and dining light fixture are mid century inspired, bridging the gap between old and new. This version of Amuneal’s Collector’s Shelving Unit features solid machined brass fittings and posts with a wire mesh surround in a warm brass finish. The unit mounts to the wall to support a series of easily adjustable glass shelves. All of our Collector’s Shelving Units are fabricated in Amuneal’s Philadelphia-based furniture studio and can be customized as required for residential and commercial spaces.

Amy Birrer The kitchen pictured here is in a turn of the century home that still uses the original stove from the 1930’s to heat, cook and bake. The porcelain sink with drain boards are also originals still in use from the 1950’s. The idea here was to keep the original appliances still in use while increasing the storage and work surface space. Although the kitchen is rather large it has many of the issues of an older house in that there are 4 integral entrances into the kitchen, none of which could be rerouted or closed off. It also needed to encompass in-kitchen eating and a space for a dishwasher. The fully integrated dishwasher is raised off the floor and sits on ball and claw feet giving it the look of a freestanding piece of furniture. Elevating a dishwasher is a great way to avoid the constant bending over associated with loading and unloading dishes. The cabinets were designed to resemble an antique breakfront in keeping with the style and age of the house.
