We love the way this Milgard Moving Glass Wall System was so elegantly used in this space. The glass wall serves as an abundant source of natural light, and highlights the incredible views from this home. Moving glass walls can also be opened up to make the living room and outdoor patio feel like one, allowing you to move seamlessly from space to space. This feature makes having a moving glass walls so great either when entertaining or just relaxing!

This bathroom had a terribly low ceiling, made out of ceiling tiles! We were able to raise the ceiling about 6" and I sourced perforated Masonite panels from Richelieu which where then painted to match the tile [see them reflected in the mirror]. The long, vertically installed tiles really helped give added height to this bathroom, as did the monochromatic color scheme. As with all bathrooms, this was incredible difficult to photograph. Designer: Paul Dybdahl Photographer: Shanna Wolf Designer’s Note: One of the main project goals was to develop a kitchen space that complimented the homes quality while blending elements of the new kitchen space with the homes eclectic materials. Japanese Ash veneers were chosen for the main body of the kitchen for it's quite linear appeals. Quarter Sawn White Oak, in a natural finish, was chosen for the island to compliment the dark finished Quarter Sawn Oak floor that runs throughout this home. The west end of the island, under the Walnut top, is a metal finished wood. This was to speak to the metal wrapped fireplace on the west end of the space. A massive Walnut Log was sourced to create the 2.5" thick 72" long and 45" wide (at widest end) living edge top for an elevated seating area at the island. This was created from two pieces of solid Walnut, sliced and joined in a book-match configuration. The homeowner loves the new space!! We turned a small unused room in the back of this house into a playroom for young children. Highlights include custom photo wallpaper (which is adhesive backed and can be peeled away without wall damage), a custom book wall and a wall system allowing easy rotation of kids' art. The Domaine de Dolomieu is an incredible project situated in the heart of the Rhône Alpes region of France. This colossal project of 1 500 m2 includes a luxurious hotel, 2 restaurants, a Lounge Bar and a Spa. We have meticulously redesigned the whole of the Château, inspired by the history of this extraordinary building and the famous geologist «Déodat Gratet» who lived there during the 18th century. We designed many pieces of bespoke furniture for this project, made essentially from locally sourced walnut wood. Ostentatious lighting and beautiful fabrics have been used throughout to enhance the elegance and luxurious aspect of this unique building.

This kitchen was renovated and now features some incredible details. With copper accents, rustic wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, under cabinet lighting, and kick lighting, this kitchen truly has it all. An artisan copper hood fan adds a beautiful polished touch to the kitchen. The quartz counters feature a chiseled edge.

These unique treehouses have been built with sustainable sourcing and upcycled construction methods. When Martine Ilana, Principal designer of Temescal, considered what a ‘treehouse’ would look like for her twins, immediately it’s ideation was focused on keeping the integrity of the forest and problem solving how to use as many repurposed and sustainable materials as possible. Set inside a circle of 100-year-old maple and oak trees and complimenting the home’s architecture, these ‘tree houses’ give shelter, space for imagination & safe play outdoors for the twins. Mimicking the trees’ height and scale, and mirrored in each of their designs, these two 6 foot square base by 14 foot tall twin play structures allow for each child to have its own personal space, yet are connected at the swings. Accessing the incredible selection of salvage materials from a salvage yard in Detroit, Temescal was able to source non-toxic & structurally sound woods to build the structure itself. Healthy Building Materials include: Metal Roofing and Water based Low VOC paints. A slatted exterior structure was designed to create a rain screen and in addition complement the Main home’s exterior design. The slide posed the largest problem to source as recycled plastic slides are not made available to residential projects by US based manufactures and repurposed from Facebook marketplace hit many dead ends. Ultimately, she chose to use a HDPE high density polyurethane plastic slide that would allow for its material to be recycled once at the end of this life.

This former garage is now a perfect games room featuring an incredible pool table. Behind the bar you can see a custom curved stone countertop with stone tile backsplash. The upper bar features a live edge wood counter.
