Handcrafted bookend with air plant and personalized string art design. If you love air plants this will be a great addition for your library, office or kids/nursery room. This approximately 5” x 8.75” x 2" solid wood block comes in ambrosia maple wood color finished with a sealer. I do not use stains. It is ready to stand on a shelf and has felt padding at the bottom to protect the furniture. All designs are strung in string colors of your choice to fit the color pallet of your home. For this bookend I've used brass nails and wire, so if you need to water spray the plants the nails won't rust. Each bookend is sold individually. If you would like to purchase a pair let me know what design you are interested in. These are great for supporting a bundle of books. If placed horizontally they should support large amounts of weight as well.

Warm tones, natural wood, thoughtful layering of pattern and texture, and fixture choices that feel curated rather than catalog — every room earns its place. The foyer makes an immediate impression. Herringbone hardwood floors set a classic tone underfoot, while gray grasscloth wallpaper adds warmth and texture to the walls. A brass cage lantern flush mount and wainscoting complete the entry, making it feel finished without being fussy. It's the kind of space that makes guests pause. The primary bedroom is the project's centerpiece. A brass spindle bed frame anchors the room with quiet drama, flanked by walnut nightstands with brass legs and topped with a pair of extraordinarily custom lighting moments — multi-rod pendant chandeliers in brass and glass that hang from ceiling canopies, functioning as both bedside task lighting and sculptural focal points. Soft blue-gray custom drapery in a tonal dash-dot pattern hangs floor to ceiling on brass rods, layered over woven shades for light control and warmth. A pair of oatmeal linen swivel chairs with a marble-topped brass side table creates a proper sitting area at the foot of the bed. Floral accent pillows in terracotta and rust, an orange bolster, and a geometric cream and blue area rug give the neutral palette its energy. A modern minimalist white ceiling fan balances the traditional bones of the room beautifully. The primary bathroom is a full gut renovation executed at the highest level. Warm walnut cabinetry with raised panel detailing runs the full length of a double vanity, topped with white quartz and finished with polished nickel hardware and fixtures throughout. A heated towel warmer, large format Calacatta-look marble tile floors, individual rounded-rectangle nickel-framed mirrors, and nickel sconces round out the vanity wall. The shower is nothing short of a spa experience — floor-to-ceiling Calacatta marble tile in large format, a ceiling-mounted rain head, wall-mounted traditional shower head, hand shower on a slide bar, linear drain, floating bench seat, and grab bars integrated so seamlessly they feel designed rather than added. A second bathroom receives the same care: dark walnut cabinetry, white quartz, polished nickel fixtures, a custom patterned Roman shade, and a cylindrical glass sconce with brass accent. The walk-in pantry was designed with the same intentionality as every other room — white cabinetry, open upper shelving, a dedicated wine rack with both vertical and horizontal bottle storage, a second refrigerator, and dramatic swirling granite countertops that make even the utility spaces feel considered.

We began designing Don Fuego at the start of 2024, keeping four key elements at the forefront: Moody, Sophisticated, Bold, and Memorable. Inspired by Día de los Muertos, this space pays homage to those who are no longer with us physically but remain with us spiritually. Every design choice reflects this essence—deep, rich textures, dramatic lighting, and custom elements that make Don Fuego a true work of art. One of the focal points is the custom-designed checkout counter, featuring a striking porcelain slab that embodies everything Don Fuego stands for: fire, intensity, and individuality. The moment we saw it, we knew it was destined for this space. Design is all about the details, and Don Fuego is no exception. From late-night idea exchanges to meticulous material selections, every element was chosen with intention. We introduced texture through limewash, mimicking the organic feel of a grave, and Roman clay, sculpted into arches reminiscent of traditional Mexican architecture. Lighting is the jewelry of a space, and in Don Fuego, it sets the mood. We layered task, decorative, ambient, and accent lighting to create an immersive atmosphere. One of our favorite details? A light fixture inspired by the cascarón, a cracked egg symbolizing good luck and prosperity in Mexican culture. The Rosebury Farm project by Squared Architects is a thoughtfully planned residential development located on the edge of suburban London, designed to balance contemporary living with a strong sensitivity to its rural surroundings. Set within a green belt context, the scheme consists of a collection of individually designed homes that follow a self-build or custom-build approach, allowing for variation while maintaining a cohesive architectural identity. The design emphasizes integration with the landscape, using staggered building forms and carefully arranged massing to reduce visual impact and preserve key views across the site. Natural materials and a restrained palette help the homes blend into their environment, while features such as green walls and planted areas reinforce the connection between architecture and nature. Internally, the houses are designed with flexible, open-plan layouts that support modern living, prioritizing natural light and spatial fluidity. Sustainability is a core principle throughout the project, with energy-efficient strategies and environmentally responsive design choices embedded from the outset. Overall, Rosebury Farm represents a contemporary yet context-sensitive housing model, combining architectural quality, environmental awareness, and a community-oriented approach to residential development.

Strong and stable, but elegant and sophisticated at the same time. This chair design is multidimensional. A strong base with detailing that tricks the eye in many ways leading into the sculpted back rest smooth and soft to both support and add unexpected comfort for the user. These chairs are all individually handmade from black walnut for each client with a choice of cushion fabrics to suit any decor. Within its 35m² of functional space, divided into an anteroom and a bathroom, Fernanda crafted a sunroom that intentionally brings together a vast array of elements: native Atlantic Forest species in a biophilic and naturalistic arrangement, a hand-painted chinoiserie adorning the walls, classic jequitibá wood furniture, refined retro-inspired tapestries, wallpapers, wooden beams reminiscent of country homes, ceramic lighting fixtures, and vases created exclusively for the project. This composition clearly expresses the richness of detail in her work and the depth of her research. Driven by a desire to offer visitors a bucolic, fresh, and ethereal experience, landscaping was a central element of the project. Regarding the furniture, classic, rounded, lightweight, and intricately crafted forms were a prerequisite. Thus, the choice fell on pieces from Paschoal Bianco, crafted individually by master carpenters who are true artists in wood carving. Opting for the natural tone of jequitibá wood, the armchairs, stool, and side tables transport visitors to the grand residences and châteaus of rural France. To soften the design, natural fibers from Biasá were incorporated into the sofa, the Paris rattan chair, and a round rug, all displayed in an area the designer dubbed “the poetry corner.” This corner, featuring a classic writing desk, a porcelain coffee cup, eucalyptus branches, books, and a note card beside a large window dressed with a dramatic, meticulously crafted curtain by A Morada, could only be called “the poetry corner.” Here, the public is invited to sit, contemplate the surrounding landscape, read, and write.
