This butler pantry features lots of open, adjustable shelving. Counter space was added to this pantry as well. The counter is a natural maple finish and matches well with the client's flooring. Below the counter are pull-outs. These are great for pantries because of the visibility they allow. Above the counter is more storage for more infrequently used items. Black hardware was used here and it goes wonderfully with the floor and the finishes of the built-in.

The deep double sink in the island is flanked with a quiet new dishwasher and a 21" double trash pullout. The other side of the island has full height cabinets for infrequently used items.

This closet is designed to allow guests to use it when they are there, but also to provide storage for the homeowners. Features include clothing rods for hanging clothes, open shelving for clothing and shoes, a cabinet with doors above, and enclosed storage below for anything from linens to towels and guest articles. We used the whole area by designing a blind corner, still providing access for infrequently used items. The homeowner also wanted a strong counter top for suitcases to be unloaded and to be used as a seat while dressing if needed. We put in a 1 inch thick top, providing a rich look and strength.

A tired and dated, poorly layed out kitchen gets a bright and fresh new look in in the NW community of Arbour Lake in Calgary.
The corner pantry made way for plenty of storage and counter space and the former dining nook now houses a coffee bar. There’s no need for a separate table because the island has ample space to seat four people comfortably as well as houses extra storage for those infrequently used items. The floating wood shelves don’t just look amazing, they are great for easy access to your most used items. The hexagon tile back splash is installed to highlight the shelves and stainless hood and make a very graphic statement.
