Mid-sized trendy living room photo in Chicago with white walls

While it's tempting to buy a matching living room set, mixing and matching your lighting fixtures can add more personality to your room. For instance, pair a soft fabric lamp with a sleek, modern floor lamp or a chandelier with industrial table lamps. This mixture creates visual intrigue and ensures that your living room feels uniquely yours.

These clients retained MMI to assist with a full renovation of the 1st floor following the Harvey Flood. With 4 feet of water in their home, we worked tirelessly to put the home back in working order. While Harvey served our city lemons, we took the opportunity to make lemonade. The kitchen was expanded to accommodate seating at the island and a butler's pantry. A lovely free-standing tub replaced the former Jacuzzi drop-in and the shower was enlarged to take advantage of the expansive master bathroom. Finally, the fireplace was extended to the two-story ceiling to accommodate the TV over the mantel. While we were able to salvage much of the existing slate flooring, the overall color scheme was updated to reflect current trends and a desire for a fresh look and feel. As with our other Harvey projects, our proudest moments were seeing the family move back in to their beautifully renovated home.

Treatment For Residential Waste water
Every home generates wastewater and while there is no way of getting away from this fact, it is good to know that there are quite a few options when it comes to treating residential wastewater.
The traditional septic tank
For a very long time, the septic tank ruled the roost when it came to residential water treatment. This tank is a fairly simple construction and is very widely used. It relies on the sedimentation process to deal with residential wastewater.
Sometimes the septic tank can be boosted in its processes with the use of:
• Flocculates.
• Chemical inputs.
• Patented or proprietary technology and so on.
Use of chemical methods
Processes such as chlorination have emerged as cost effective methods to treat wastewater. At the heart of the following processes is the use of a chemical agent and a chemical reaction to get the wastewater treated:
• Ion exchange.
• Adsorption.
• Chlorination.
• Use of polyvalent metals for coagulation and so on.
Biological processes
In a very unique wastewater treatment approach – bacteria are used to break down the components of wastewater! Of course there is a lot of science and research that has gone into these methods of treating wastewater. For instance, the use of a septic tank, as stated above is a biological, anaerobic method of treatment. Biological processes will also cater for destroying any disease causing organisms.
The combined approach
Residential wastewater is also treated with the use of a combination of methods. For instance, a device that uses an aerobic approach to wastewater treatment will also have mechanical components to get the process to be even more effective. It is critical to invest in a system that promises total – 100% - treatment of the wastewater.
If the residential wastewater is not treated comprehensively then the effluents can cause all kinds of health issues to the people in the property.
Effective systems
If you are scouting for a system to help in treating residential wastewater then you should know that there are systems that are sophisticated in their working. Flow equalization to ensure 100% treatment and the use of an internet based alarm system make such products very effective and energy efficient too.
It is also a good idea to check with your local sanitation authorities before investing in products so you can ensure you are compliant with all local health and public safety rules and regulations. For instance, using NSF certified systems can help in this regard.

Occupied Staging - This family room is very long and narrow. We staged the space utilizing the Owner's sectional couch. Sectionals have been very popular over the years, but many times take up a lot of space in a room. Many people don't realize you can break up the sectional to create more cohesive entertaining spaces. In this instance the chaise was at the end blocking the view of the fireplace. We separated the chaise part of the sectional and placed on the opposite side of the fireplace. In this way we created a cozy place for reading with a fire lit as well as a configuration more conducive to conversation with family and guests as opposed tot everyone sitting in a straight line. We also placed a large piece art with a warm red pop of color to ensure buyers will notice the fireplace as well as the depth of the room.
