This custom-made glass and wood garage door was ingeniously designed, crafted and installed by Dynamic Garage Door in Los Angeles, CA. The garage door design is quite eclectic while preserving the warmth of the wood's natural grain and adding glass panes to allow ample natural light to reach the inside of the garage area. Since the Garage is mainly used as a children's playroom it was important for the homeowner to have enough glass windows on the garage door to allow natural light in but strong enough to support children playing inside. The glass panes are tempered for added strength and precautionary measures. The bottom garage door panel is composed of solid wood raised panels which creates a safety barrier through the lower portion of the door and also to add architectural elements seen in Spanish Colonial Architecture already. This living room received a refresh when the outdated corner fireplace was removed, which opened up the room and allowed for a more flexible layout. A new gas fireplace was installed, along with two sidelight windows to enhance the natural light and exterior landscaping. The walls and ceilings were smoothed, and crown molding and trim was added to give the room a clean, but polished look.

Unfinished basements offer a delightful canvas for our creativity, allowing us the flexibility to present various space layout options tailored to the client's exact requirements. In this instance, our client expressed the desire to incorporate a complete bathroom, laundry area, and storage room, along with the task of enclosing walls and ceilings and installing stunning white oak flooring.

Adding a penthouse perch to this 1899 row house with a harbor view demanded unusual tactics. To circumvent municipal limitations on floor area, a section of floor was removed from one level and “transferred” to the roof as a new studio space. To comply with local height limitations, an innovative structure of solid wood studs was deployed to reduce floor and ceiling thicknesses to the bare minimum. This outdoor kitchen project started with a welded-aluminum frame wrapped in HardieBacker cement board. HardieBacker is a board, sort of like drywall, that allows us to adhere many different finishes to the exterior of the frame. In this instance the customers chose stacked stone as their preferred finish. For a countertop, they opted for Fusion quartzite. Appliances include an Alfresco grill, True beverage center, and Scotsman nugget ice maker.

Inspiration for a mid-sized contemporary master concrete floor bathroom remodel in Melbourne with flat-panel cabinets, white cabinets, gray walls, a vessel sink and quartz countertops

The bathroom was redesigned to improve flow and add functional storage with a modern aesthetic. Natural walnut cabinetry brings warmth balanced by the subtle movement in the warm gray floor and wall tiles and the white quartz counters and shower surround. We created half walls framing the shower topped with quartz and glass treated for easy maintenance. The angled wall and extra square footage in the water closet were eliminated for a larger vanity. Floating vanities make the space feel larger and fit the modern aesthetic. The tall pullout storage at her vanity is one-sided to prevent items falling out the back and features shelves with acrylic sides for full product visibility. We removed the tub deck and bump-out walls with inset shelves for improved flow and wall space for towels. Now the freestanding tub anchors the middle of the room while allowing easy access to the windows that were blocked by the previous built-in.

Kowalske Kitchen & Bath designed and remodeled this Delafield master bathroom. The original space had a small oak vanity and a shower insert. The homeowners wanted a modern farmhouse bathroom to match the rest of their home. They asked for a double vanity and large walk-in shower. They also needed more storage and counter space. Although the space is nearly all white, there is plenty of visual interest. This bathroom is layered with texture and pattern. For instance, this bathroom features shiplap walls, pretty hexagon tile, and simple matte black fixtures.
