Halmann Vella was the main contractor in charge of the refurbishment of eCABS offices in St Julian's. Works carried out included the removal of all existing finishes, structural alterations and the fabrication and installation of all Terrazzo cladding and flooring. All this work together with the management and coordination of all subcontractors was carried out in a very tight schedule of 3 weeks, whilst respecting and satisfying the elaborate design and drawings instructed by Architect, Sandro Valentino. Press down the edges of the tape securely. › Paint the areas with textile paint while brushing away from the tape edge to prevent paint seeping underneath. › Peel off the masking tape. › Please read the instructions of the paint manufacturer on how to continue the treatment of the rug.

Our instructions from the client were to "create a fiercely modern, all-white kitchen, but with humanity." Working within a ten by fifteen foot space that was originally dark, cramped and inefficient, we created a new kitchen which is bright, open, and highly efficient for cooking. While no walls were moved, the openings to adjacent spaces were relocated and resized, further expanding the appearance of the space. The clients had just moved into an impressive Victorian house and the existing kitchen was in a very poor state. After seeing one of our adverts they made an appointment to visit the studio for an initial consultation, and after spending some time with Stephen they invited him to visit the house to begin the design process. He quickly came up with some concept ideas that initially included removing two internal walls which would really open up the existing space, yet considering the timescale the clients decided to concentrate on creating just a beautiful kitchen. With concept designs done and budgets considered they decided to instruct us for the complete project. We began with the building works that would allow a new kitchen to be fitted, this comprised of removal of the existing kitchen, installation of a new sub-floor and electric underfloor heating. The floors were finished with natural Limestone which just left installation of new power and lighting and a complete re-plaster. Including fitting the new bespoke kitchen, the project was completed over an eight week time period and on budget.
