A display area was created for guitar instruments in the home office so it became an inspiring space to both work and enjoy the homeowner's hobby. His prized possessions are showcased while also offering easy access to play.
The low chairs without arms were selected to be ideal for comfortable guitar-playing.
Display shelving is retrofitable if the owners decide to move or eventually want to change the function of the room; extra shelving can be put in to create open bookcases.
The neutral color palette of the room complements the feel of the rest of the home and allows for the guitars to shine as the focal point.
The large desk provides ample work space to accommodate the TV and two computers needed for trading.

My client wanted some wall units built in so she could display some art pottery that she collects. Her husband plays many musical instruments. Instead of the "same ole, same ole" why not create art with the built-in to house the art displayed? The beautiful guitar was trimmed with abalone and turquoise and was beautiful and I thought it should be seen and admired so I created a guitar shaped niche with bookmatched grain surround and spotlight. The shelves were various sizes and shapes to accomodate a variety of artifacts. A couple of feature shapes were also lit.

Design Dilemma: Our clients needed a place to store their beautiful bass and their extensive collection of books and records. Solution - We transformed this unused corner in the great room into a beautiful and functional storage space.
Using a subtle instrument rack so the client could easily remove the bass to play, we were able to showcase the bass as a work of art and make it a focal point in the space. We also added a rolling ladder to access the top of the bookshelf and to make the space more interesting.
