The list of equipment wired and installed in this home is huge, but the functionality of it all was made simple with seamless integration by Savant. Our owners can wirelessly control all of their media devices in the home (interior and exterior) as well as several other key components. Lighting was integrated with lutron programmable switches as well.

The result is a fine example of clean lines and symmetrical visual appeal. The use of Merbau timber decking and narrow honed Himalayan sandstone surrounds create a fresh and welcoming space. The pool features blue glass mosaic waterline and step tread tiles, beautiful navy blue pebbled lining and a small spill-over mouth with sandstone coping. The spa component is a reliable and straightforward set-up, with blower and spa jets delivering perfect relaxation at the touch of a button. Cabinet Tronix displays how custom beautiful matching furniture can be placed on each side of the fire place all while secretly hiding the flat screen TV in one of them with a motorized TV lift. This solution is great option versus placing the TV above the fire place which many home owners, interior designers, architects, custom home builders and audio video integrator specialists have struggled with. Placing the TV above the fireplace has been in many cases the only option. Here we show how you can have 2 furniture pieces made to order that match and one has space for storage and the other on the right hides the TV and electronic components. The TV lift system on this piece was controlled by a Universal Remote so the home owner only presses one button and the TV lifts up and all components including the flat screen turn on. Vise versa when pressing the off button. Shabby-Chic in design, this interior is a stunner and one of our favorite projects to be part of. Media Center: The storage within the wall interlocks, strategically borrowing space from one side to serve the other. The Wall neatly conceals lighting above and disorganized audio-video components below with a speaker cloth access door that allows both sound and infrared to pass through. The "Illusionist" kitchen is a 2nd place winner in the prestigious Subzero and Wolf kitchen design contest in the state of Ohio. This tremendous house, which is situated on the lake, boasts a main kitchen and a prep kitchen. Its name was generated from the complete invisibility of the main kitchen's working components, whereas all of the appliances were completely concealed to provide a seamless look allowing for an unconventional look that is streamlined yet completely functional. The goal of the homeowners in the design stages were to simplify a more conventional house layout. A more predictable formal dining room was eliminated creating a merge of the main kitchen with a central eating area. The combining of these two spaces helped to develop the concept that the kitchen was an 'illusion'; accessible when necessary but unnoticed in every other way so there was less of a feel of being in a kitchen and more of a sense of being in a gathering area for family and friends to enjoy. The main kitchen boasts three ovens, a 36" Subzero refrigerator and a 36" Subzero freezer, all of which are paneled with white glass, providing a perfect reflective surface for the lake in the backdrop. The island is dual purposed, housing a sink and a 36" induction Wolf cooktop on one side and providing seating for 10 in a custom built banquette. The light fixture above the custom glass and stainless steel table is the "Etoile" from Terzanni while the massive light fixture over the island is the "Sospesa" from Fabbian and boasts a 2" sheet of glass with inset halogen lighting that is nearly invisible suspended from the 10' ceiling that features a drop ceiling with cove lighting. Lam is an extending table characterized by distinctive lines and metal details merging with a wooden frame. The characteristics of both these materials are enhanced and perfectly integrated in this piece of furniture: metal is used for the structural components, while wood is used for the top thanks to its sensory properties and the comfortable feeling that it provides. This table features a perfectly integrated system concealed in the frame: the legs slide to one side allowing the extension leaf, in the same color as the top, to be positioned into place. In this way the legs always remain at the corners and their aesthetic value, given by their diagonal position and the coated metal profile, is highlighted. The Lam Dining Table is accompanied by the Ms4 Polypropylene Dining Chair, also by Calligaris.

Designing cabinetry so that it unifies disparate elements of a room’s architecture can be challenging. Even complex forms can express a natural grace, through eased elements and flowing forms. With Jaeger & Ernst, the custom kitchen, although more than the sum of its parts, merits focused attention in the design each of its components. The Greene & Greene brothers architects were exceptional masters of such designs, integrating room architecture with furniture: truly the ultimate bungalows! Pegs worked by hand bring the work of the cabinet maker to a higher level of craftsmanship. Design integration is always in service to the client - the user of the space! Slab style doors in shades of gray lend drama to this landscape architecture professor/artist’s kitchen. Special heights and depths culminate in a top alignment that defines a visual upper plane extending from the kitchen to the great room (at the tops of the windows and doors) creating a unified interior horizon. On a more prosaic front, the upper cabinets were held somewhat low to be easier to reach for a shortish cook. Differing cabinet depths allow for a structural post to be integrated through the island cabinetry; the oven cabinet is held forward to align with a full depth refrigerator; and depth was added at the washer/dryer surround for needed ventilation. Also, the base cabinets were pulled forward for deeper counters to accommodate several small appliances and still allow for work area. In addition, the client wanted a built-in shelf unit to blend with existing rough hewn paneling in which to display objets d’art. An organically shaped island breaks with tradition and softens the otherwise linear nature of the room. A unique sweeping curve expands and defines the bar seating -- the wall beneath is lined with an accent stripe of cork (same materials as in the flooring) to act as a shoe-scuff deterrent for the wall. A small but significant detail - the upper doors and side of the tall microwave cabinet had to be finished Silvermist (light) while the interior, edge banding and bottom drawerhead needed to be finished in the darker Slate to continue the color theme of the kitchen. Integrated lighting was also a mandatory component of this kitchen - indirect top, bottom, picture and toe lights can all be adjusted myriad ways; and we can’t forget the very unique undulating pendant lighting at the island.

Window treatments, audio, and other components throughout the home were integrated with Lutron Homeworks QS. This gave the clients simple, intuitive control of their systems from a single interface.

Don aimed to update the master bathroom, focusing on enhancing its functionality while preserving its aesthetic appeal. His vision was to create a space that met practical needs and integrated with the home's style and character. To achieve this, he meticulously selected materials with our designer that complemented the existing elements, ensuring the new additions enriched the ambiance and improved utility and comfort. Custom components were integrated, including a sizeable, zero threshold shower for a sleek, modern look. The foundation featured a pebble mosaics tile, providing a natural, textured feel underfoot. A frameless tempered glass panel was installed to encapsulate the shower, providing a clean, expansive view of the tiling work, which included Piemonte tiles from The Tile Shop in a soft pearl finish. This choice added a touch of luxury and was complemented by a unique niche tiled with sky blue glass tiles, offering a burst of color and intricate design. The Crisp Stria quartz countertops complement the new undermount sinks and widespread faucets, enhancing the vanity area's elegance and functionality. Two new vanity lights illuminated the space, blending seamlessly with the existing decor. The carefully chosen materials and fixtures ensured a balanced and harmonious look.
