The sink had been bumped out in the previous kitchen and just those few inches intruded into the traffic path, so the sink cabinet was pushed back even with the other cabinets.

This Paradise Model. My heart. This was build for a family of 6. This 8x28' Paradise model ATU tiny home can actually sleep 8 people with the pull out couch. comfortably. There are 2 sets of bunk beds in the back room, and a king size bed in the loft. This family ordered a second unit that serves as the office and dance studio. They joined the two ATUs with a deck for easy go-between. The bunk room has built-in storage staircase mirroring one another for clothing and such (accessible from both the front of the stars and the bottom bunk). There is a galley kitchen with quarts countertops that waterfall down both sides enclosing the cabinets in stone. There was the desire for a tub so a tub they got! This gorgeous copper soaking tub sits centered in the bathroom so it's the first thing you see when looking through the pocket door. The tub sits nestled in the bump-out so does not intrude. We don't have it pictured here, but there is a round curtain rod and long fabric shower curtains drape down around the tub to catch any splashes when the shower is in use and also offer privacy doubling as window curtains for the long slender 1x6 windows that illuminate the shiny hammered metal. Accent beams above are consistent with the exposed ceiling beams and grant a ledge to place items and decorate with plants. The shower rod is drilled up through the beam, centered with the tub raining down from above. Glass shelves are waterproof, easy to clean and let the natural light pass through unobstructed. Thick natural edge floating wooden shelves shelves perfectly match the vanity countertop as if with no hard angles only smooth faces. The entire bathroom floor is tiled to you can step out of the tub wet.

We love what our clients are bringing to our beloved Carytown! A Direct Primary Care office with doctors who take as much time as is needed to get to know and really help their patients, and we’re the lucky interior design firm that gets to be a part of their story.
First we worked on their logo and branding color pallete. From there we used different elements from their guide to influence in paint choices. We played with cubes of periwinkle either as extruded rooms or intruded cavities. Soft white curves can be found everywhere and help patients feel welcome and safe. Everything in this space was new construction, so Haus of León helped with the flooring, layout, cabinetry, front desk, lighting, furniture, and that beautiful new staircase! Congrats on opening guys!
Go check them out in person!

This photo shows my final design of the addition. An element I worked into my final design was the protruding second floor of the addition. This is opposite of the intruding porch on the original house

How do you make a passageway interesting without intruding on the space? This side of the bedroom serves as a path from the door to the bathroom so I chose a very narrow console to anchor the area. The Jockey photo creates another great focal point in the room and boxes provide nice hidden storage. A concrete lamp and candle finish the vignette. Notice how the large photograph intersects the cap of the beadboard. This breaks up the strong horizontal line and creates verticality to balance out the canopy bed across from it. The photo could easily be switched out for a flat screen TV...but who would want to? Photo by Walt Roycraft

A skylight was introduced over the stairwell of this 3 story terrace house to bring daylight into the interior.
White cabinetry extending from the living area to the dining and kitchen area was added to connect the three spaces without intruding upon the spaciousness of the first floor.
Intimate spaces such as the loft and mid-landing niche were also carved out to provide areas for display and rest in an otherwise open floor plan.
In keeping with the overall palette of the interior, the existing flooring and staircase handrail were sanded and refinished to achieve a matte finish.

It’s not hard to see the drawers and the hanging areas and the attractive Rustic Cherry finish. It’s easy to notice how the handles accent the unit. One could, probably, guess that a company with the great reputation of CHP would be able to present a client with a choice of custom finishes, a wide variety of handles and partner with the client to design, exactly, the best storage solution. If you guessed those things, you would be right.
But, it is the little things, the creative touches, that allow Chicagoland Home Products to stand above the crowd. You see that here, in the way they maximize space by using the perimeter area of the closet for hanging.
You might not have thought about complementing the peninsula with a bench to provide a convenient place to put on your socks and shoes.
It’s possible no one would have thought of an easy-to-reach, yet lockable, jewelry drawer that provides an extra level of security that will slow down everyone from inquisitive three-year olds to intruders.

Landscape Lighting adds beauty, usefulness, safety, security and emotion. In this case it resulted in a neighborhood emotion of pride of ownership that showed off best at night. We worked diligently on each house in close proximity to one another and when you drove down the street the appearance of all the lit homes really spoke well for themselves and the pride of the neighborhood.
Landscape Lighting also supported our theory of securing your home from the unknown. Light is a great deterrent for discouraging intruders and unwelcomed guests from scoping out the neighborhood.

This closet is a great solution to the lack of room issues that the homeowners were facing. The barn doors do not intrude into the room and the side storage cubbies help with the organization of small items without taking up space!

Sun Room
This once-empty space now beckons with warmth and comfort. The challenge was to create a comfortable seating area in this small space, so the family could sit together, and admire the view of the garden on a sunny day. Upholstered in vibrant orange velvet, the sofa and chair infuse the sunroom with a cosy ambience, ensuring it's a welcoming spot even on dreary days. These both had to be made in pieces and assembled once on-site to get them through the narrow cottage doors and corridors.
Roman blinds were the natural choice for this room - the proportions of the windows lent themselves to a large print, with orange detailing to bring everything together. We love how the bespoke rug and the wing-back chair add a touch of character. Curved side tables are practical for smaller rooms, avoiding sharp edges intruding into the space. And so elegant for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. This is now such an inviting place, we’re sure the family will enjoy many happy moments here.

This light, bright, modern kitchen called out for sleek curtains, that wouldn’t intrude on the space. We installed wave voile curtains for privacy and light control, which complement the wave curtains in grey, all on Silent Gliss
tracks. A simple, streamlined look that works so well on bifold doors, both stylish and practical.

We opened up the wall between the kitchen and dining room, and recaptured another door that made better use of the space.
The chimney associated with the living room fireplace intruded on the kitchen space, refrigerator location is a challenge.

Whether you have a smaller property or several, flowing acres, the right fence and gate will provide you with a way to protect your family from accidents and intruders. Adding to the tremendous functionality, fencing and gates offer a creative design element to the exterior of your home.
