For this Boston-area former hunting lodge, featured in Outside the Not So Big House by Julie Moir Messervy and Sarah Susanka, JMMDS created a landscape design that anchors the house in the site and complements its Tuscan-inspired architectural update. An antique openwork wrought-iron gate provides access from the driveway to the courtyard and breaks up the solidity of the stone walls, crafted by an italian stonemason. This 2 story home with a first floor Master Bedroom features a tumbled stone exterior with iron ore windows and modern tudor style accents. The Great Room features a wall of built-ins with antique glass cabinet doors that flank the fireplace and a coffered beamed ceiling. The adjacent Kitchen features a large walnut topped island which sets the tone for the gourmet kitchen. An used closet under the stairs is transformed into a beautiful and functional chilled wine cellar with a new wrought iron railing for the stairs to tie it all together. Travertine slabs replace carpet on the stairs. LED lights are installed in the wine cellar for additional ambient lighting that gives the room a soft glow in the evening. Photos by: Ryan Wilson

This kitchen was designed with all custom cabinetry with the lower cabinets finished in Sherwin Williams Iron Ore and the upper cabinets finished in Sherwin Williams Origami. The quartzite countertops carry up the backsplash at the back. The gold faucet and fixtures add a bit of warmth to the cooler colors of the kitchen. This view shows into the large working pantry.

A pull-out ironing center that is designed to be installed in built-in cabinetry. This complete unit includes a custom 53" full-size ironing board, cover and pad, stainless iron dock and room for ironing accessories. Slides and hardware are all included. All that is needed is a door and handle to match the existing cabinetry.

This is one of the prime adult hang out rooms in the house with the cozy swivel chairs and bold wallpaper. We designed the bar area with custom cabinetry in the Sherwin Williams Iron Ore color. Iron Ore is also carried onto the trim and ceiling beams.

This beautiful kitchen was brought to life by simply rearranging and modifying a few cabinets and having them painted in Sherwin Williams Iron Ore. The desk area is now a microwave drawer and where the microwave used to be above the stove is now an awesome hood! New quartz countertops, herringbone patterned tile and hardware were additional upgrades to the space to give it an entirely different look!

Jessica C. used GenStone's Iron Ore Stacked Stone panels to create a surround for her electric fireplace and TV wall. The dark colors of Iron Ore stand out and draw the eye to the TV and electric fireplace, creating a natural focal point in the room.
