We re-arranged the kitchen layout, making the range the focal point of the main wall and centering the sink on a new, smaller window. The refrigerator is flanked by dual pantry cabinets for convenience. New built-in cabinetry beside the built-in bench seating is perfect for the homeowner’s collection of cookbooks and provides the additional counterspace needed. Efficiency and utility were top priorities, so the new cabinets included many specialty items such as a mixer lift, tray dividers, blind corner organizer, and pull-out shelves. The new hardwood flooring was installed flush with the existing hardwoods in the home for a seamless flow from room to room.

After reviewing the clients closet which held 4 rolling clothing racks. I designed a closet that doubled her existing hanging space. Within a week the product was ordered and installed. Once installed I worked with the client for 2 hours to purge the excess and place the items with purpose. Now she loves "shopping" within her own closet.

Two totally refreshed bathroom remodels take center stage in this St. Louis Park home. The homeowners loved their 1968 split level home and its unique period features. It was a well-built custom home with gorgeous maple trim and oak floors throughout. However, the main bathroom had water damage to the sub-floor that needed to be replaced. The owners decided to go ahead and update the rest of the bathroom at the same time, taking care of other items they had long wanted to do. For example, the plumbing was outdated, and the shower didn’t drain well. They also hoped for a wood vanity that would match the rest of the home, in look and era, and wished the previous homeowners hadn’t painted the original. As the couple discussed the remodel, they ultimately decided to take the plunge and take advantage of work being done in the home and update both the main floor bathroom and the master bathroom at the same time. Tackling both projects at once made sense for project efficiency, both in time and budget, and they are thrilled to now each have “their own” new bathroom!

Functionality and style added to this compact laundry room by stacking laundry pair; adding deep drawers for laundry products; and creating a folding surface. Fun stripe pattern provided a bit of whimsy, while wall-mounted drying racks were installed for items that need to hang dry.

Caring for aging parents is both a joy and a challenge. The clients wanted to create a more aging-in-place friendly basement area for their mother. The existing kitchenette was more of a glorified bar and did not give her the option of cooking independently, and definitely not stylishly. We re-configured the area so it was all open, with full kitchen capabilities. All appliances were selected to cater to the mother's limited reach, so all functional storage and product usage can be done without raising arms excessively. Special storage solutions include a peg-system for a dish drawer, tiered silverware trays, a slide-up appliance garage, and pivoting pantry storage. The cabinets also give ample display space for her collection of antique glassware. In lieu of an island, we created a solid-surface top for a standard table so food can be prepped while sitting and without damaging the table top. All items reflect the mother's tastes and existing furniture so she can truly feel like this basement is her space, while still being close to her son and daughter-in-law.

Single, upwardly mobile attorney who recently became partner at his firm at a very young age. This is his first “big boy house” and after years of living college and dorm mismatched items, the client decided to work with our firm. The space was awkward occupying a top floor of a four story walk up. The floorplan was very efficient; however it lacked any sense of “wow” There was no real foyer or entry. It was very awkward as it relates to the number of stairs. The solution: a very crisp black and while color scheme with accents of masculine blues. Since the foyer lacked architecture, we brought in a very bold and statement mural which resembles an ocean wave, creating movement. The sophisticated palette continues into the master bedroom where it is done in deep shades of warm gray. With a sense of cozy yet dramatic.

Regardless of your lifestyle, establishing healthy habits involves commitment and planning. A well-stocked, organized pantry goes a long way toward helping achieve those goals by keeping healthy foods accessible and visible. We have another veteran family with a more Soft and Moody taste wanting to completely renovate their very dated, non-efficient, half utilized kitchen in their cool and eclectic styled home. The new design had us moving the dishwasher, shifting the stove and fridge, and adding a whole new bank of cabinets with a custom depth pantry and 18” depth dry bar, while also expanding the island. We added to the whole plan with a pot filler and venting the hood up and out through the roof. For the new cabinets, they went with our Rider door style from our Kitchen Solvers Legacy Collection line. The perimeter cabinets were done in the American Walnut color while the island was done in Spruce. The contrast between the two colors looks amazing. Next, we added a stunning charcoal Hex elongated backsplash and a Blue Roma Quartzite countertop. To finish this stunning transformation, we added several storage solution items to help utilize every inch of their kitchen. Now our homeowners are back to cooking their gourmet meals from scratch and hosting parties again in their new kitchen!

Although they enjoyed cooking fish dinners, they fishy odors often annoyed them)! Renovisions designed and installed a wood hood in matching light gray painted finish with a hood liner that provided the maximum ventilation, while staying within the proper building code of a 350cfm air exchange, without having to add a make -up air system which would have added to the cost of the project. *Better functioning ‘Spinner Storage’ for interior storage. The clients loved them in their old kitchen; we furnished and installed new and better-quality spinners storage units. *A unique opening between the kitchen and family room that allowed homeowners to pass meals through as they enjoyed a movie from the family room. *A Smart-Divide porcelain enamel sink with stainless steel grids allow plenty of room for dirty dishes, pots and pans as well as separate areas to prep and wash dishes as needed. * Anti-glare finishes were a must have for these clients; kitchen cabinetry in a matte gray neutral finish, faucet and cabinet hardware in a matte black finish and stunning Cambria quartz countertops in a suede finish set the stage. At completion phase, homeowners were ensured that they were receiving high-quality products, style and craftmanship in the most efficient time frame and were thrilled with look of their new kitchen that also provided plenty of prep, entertaining and seating space. The clients attributes the success of the design to the emotions it inspired when the job was completed – they simply love everything about it!
