Our dear friend Delores used to refer to this section as "the lower 40 acres" Quite tongue in cheek considering our property is about a quarter of an acre! Such a great place to sit for a cool breeze.

Home to a young family of four, this new house blends in the tightly woven fabric of this traditional residential neighborhood. Yet CYAN Horticulture was mandated to pack in this limited space an ambitious program of children-minded activities, in a ‘warm contemporary’ way. The front yard hence accommodates a boxwood parterre/soccer field and a secret dirtbike track, a rain barrel as well as mixed monochromatic plantings in greens and whites.

This stand alone cabinet was designed to house stereo equipment. It features a 360 degree rotating top to allow access to the backs of stereo components and tall legs to stand over a subwoofer. Alaskan hemlock, dovetailed walnut and raw steel legs. The design can be manipulated to fit your exact needs!

Knowing that this was the house they would raise their family in, this Arlington Heights couple decided a complete overhaul of their kitchen was necessary. Originally, the space was cramped, with a funky layout and minimal storage. With a the help of a torn down wall, added bar, and massive island, this kitchen turned into a truly stunning feature for their forever home.

The Master Bathroom was the only room in this lovely Fredericksburg home that needed updating. As the second owners of this property, our clients were unhappy with the contractor grade selections that the original homeowners made in this room. They came to us with a few requests-- they wanted to expand the shower and remove an awkward column between the vanities as well as replace the tile in all the areas.
We used Cambria Somerset quartz on the counters because it harmonized nicely with the colors in the mosaic tile accent used in the shower and on the face of the soaking tub. We chose the same Happy Floors Eternity tile in Gold but used various sizes for the floor and in the shower and on the tub deck, which contributed to the relaxing, spa-like atmosphere of the space. A rich and warm earth tone for the walls (Benjamin Moore’s Rich Clay Brown) was the final element in creating a beautiful Master Bathroom to complete an already lovely home.
