The Finley Sofa is formed with bubble-like cushioning and rounded edges for comfort from any angle. Plush but ultimately firm, this sofa is tightly upholstered throughout for a well-tailored, put-together look complete with a low profile back rest.

The Porter Sofa is a simple structured sofa with boxy flare and a low-set profile. Square arm rests are made like a side table, while an elevated back rest provides ample lean-back support. High-density foam cushioning is nicely rounded and perfectly firm. Detailed pipe stitching around the edges finishes the eloquent modern design.

Horizontal Japanese braces surround and define the living room core. Its rice paper ceiling is echoed by the shoji panels, which retract to reveal the round window of the bedroom beyond. A simple alter with a black granite sill is built into the central axis on the living room wall.

Finn referenced his modern Scandinavian roots but he also desired to prove that modern can be warm and inviting. We used salvaged wood that had a history and character and balanced it with the warm and refined mahogany on the entry. isARK Studio

Tucked into the quiet suburbs of Edmonds, this three-story townhouse got a warm, minimal refresh for a young couple settling into their first home together. We focused on the living and small dining area, spaces they use daily, to create a grounded and cozy atmosphere that still feels modern and uncluttered.
Rooted in both Japanese and Scandinavian influences, the design blends soft neutrals, warm oak tones, and bold black accents to create contrast without feeling stark. The slatted wood feature wall adds texture and a natural rhythm, while clean-lined furniture, tonal layering, and sculptural decor bring in depth and warmth.
It is a space that feels calm and intentional, with the kind of understated comfort that invites you to slow down. Simple, earthy, and personal—designed for quiet evenings and everyday ease.
