The client's knotty pine kitchen, family room,and laundry room were very dark and did not meet their needs for comfort and functionality. The trick to the this project was a nearly complete demo of the interior while maintaining the knotty pine walls and ceilings and blending multiple colors of stain for areas that required new knotty pine to create the natural patina in other areas.

This majestic hallway reflects how beautifully WoodHaven building materials compliment a high-end full log home. Our knotty pine paneling, doors and trim -- even the staircase, with its cedar railing -- are perfect accents in a chinked full log home.

What do we have here ... Heaven on Earth? This lodge is filled with custom pieces, including the log rafters to accent the ceiling. The rest of the ceiling is done with our 6" tongue and groove natural knotty pine paneling. The richness of the walls was created with our 3" x 10" log siding with a bronze stain. Our 4" x 6" D trim accents the windows and frames the view.

This cute cottage, one block from the beach, had not been updated in over 20 years. The homeowners finally decided that it was time to renovate after scrapping the idea of tearing the home down and starting over. Amazingly, they were able to give this house a fresh start with our input. We completed a full kitchen renovation and addition and updated 4 of their bathrooms. We added all new light fixtures, furniture, wallpaper, flooring, window treatments and tile. The mix of metals and wood brings a fresh vibe to the home. Teakwood used natural materials such as pine paneling, rustic knotty alder cabinetry, local rock, Turkish travertine tile, polished river stones and hand-scraped white oak plank flooring to create a clean, spare template that emphasizes the views of the lake. The shake shingles were imported from British Columbia Canada, one of the best and last sources for true redwood cedar.
