Warm and inviting, this kitchen is truly the centerpiece of the whole house and provides functionality along with beautifully appointed finishes. The warm gray finish on the walnut cabinets is a stunning choice paired with the gray tones of the Caesarstone tops on the island and perimeter.

A modern home with traditional forms and straightforward detailing combines painted brick, lap siding and antique wood structural elements to create a one-of-a-kind home on a 2.4 acre relatively flat lot. A circular drive partially screened by low brick walls and strategically placed landscaping brings you onto the site where one can make a stop at the porte-cochère drop off on their way to the garage or continue to a welcoming front porch. This 2-story home has 5 bedrooms and 5 ½ baths with 6,125 sq. ft. of conditioned spaces and a total of 9,731 sq. ft. under roof.
As you enter an intimate sized foyer, there’s a dining room to the right that opens to the kitchen and features a large picture window facing the front yard with a ceiling with white oak beams. Straight ahead you’re led to a living room that features a pre-cast stone fireplace mantle and painted coffered ceilings. It is part of a great room with a kitchen and large island that continues with white oak accents in some of the cabinetry. Pairs of arched openings and a pocket door flank each end of the room leading to a scullery kitchen on one end and to guest bedroom and master bedroom suites on the other.
The outdoor cooking and living areas are conveniently located thru French doors right off the great room and a game room that is part of the house that extends into the back yard providing great access and views to a pool and a basketball sport court. An outdoor fireplace adds a cozy touch to a seating area that is next to the outdoor cooking and dining area.
The master bedroom suite is positioned to take advantage of views to the backyard and also has access to a back porch. Easy access is provided to a well-appointed master bath that leads to his and her closets. Upstairs there are 3 more bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets. An office is also provided which is positioned above the dining room below so that it shares the continuation of the large picture window idea that affords beautiful views of the front yard and a lake across the street. A small common area located off the stair landing provides a place for the kids to hang out.

On the main floor, you'll find a guest bedroom and a contemporary bathroom featuring a double vanity sink and a utility area. A large studio area and ample storage space complete the first-floor plan. The master bedroom exudes luxury with its beautiful decor, unique fixtures, fireplace, and modern master bathroom design.

When a beloved hobby becomes more of a lifestyle, a custom home wine cellar room just makes sense. Steve Kotfis approached Wine Racks America in 2022 to start his custom built wine cellar in Pittsburgh because he not only collects wine, but enjoys making it too. Creating a home, one that spoke to his style and preservation needs, for his beloved collection was the ultimate goal.
The challenge Steve and our design team faced with this Pittsburgh wine cellar was the size constraints the room entailed. The desired cellar space was 95” long, 55.5” wide and 95” tall. The hope was to create a functional storage system that could hold a good number of bottles for his ever growing wine collection. After a couple of rounds of revisions, he landed on a beautiful wine cellar featuring display row racks, lattice extenders, high-reveal rack with a diamond cube combo, an arch with a half-height case bin combo, polished off with base, extender and crown molding. Steve chose the base wood material pine finished with our custom WineSafe™water-based cherry stain and Wine-Safe™ satin finish. Not only did the final product come out stunning, he and the team were able to create a storage system with a 540 bottle capacity.
Steve’s favorite aspect of his finished Pittsburgh wine cellar product is the design. Having previously worked with our cellar specialists to design his first wine cellar, Steve turned to Wine Racks America a second time to create his custom wine cellar for this unique space. Our goal is not only to bring wine storage dreams to life once but to continue fostering creativity and collaboration on many future wine projects.

THIS WAS A PLAN DESIGN ONLY PROJECT. The Gregg Park is one of our favorite plans. At 3,165 heated square feet, the open living, soaring ceilings and a light airy feel of The Gregg Park makes this home formal when it needs to be, yet cozy and quaint for everyday living.
A chic European design with everything you could ask for in an upscale home.
Rooms on the first floor include the Two Story Foyer with landing staircase off of the arched doorway Foyer Vestibule, a Formal Dining Room, a Transitional Room off of the Foyer with a full bath, The Butler's Pantry can be seen from the Foyer, Laundry Room is tucked away near the garage door. The cathedral Great Room and Kitchen are off of the "Dog Trot" designed hallway that leads to the generous vaulted screened porch at the rear of the home, with an Informal Dining Room adjacent to the Kitchen and Great Room.
The Master Suite is privately nestled in the corner of the house, with easy access to the Kitchen and Great Room, yet hidden enough for privacy. The Master Bathroom is luxurious and contains all of the appointments that are expected in a fine home.
The second floor is equally positioned well for privacy and comfort with two bedroom suites with private and semi-private baths, and a large Bonus Room.

Morpurgo Architects was retained by a Fortune 100 CEO and his wife, owners of this grand brick manor house, to renovate the lower level of their home and increase the existing area for a spa and entertainment. Above this new space, we created an expansive deck, accessible from the kitchen and the first floor living areas.
Our firm surmounted numerous challenges presented by the significant height of the deck and our clients’ desire for immediacy to the pond below. We mitigated and resolved the height differences by designing a system of stairs and platforms that provide overlooks to the landscape, thereby facilitating transitions among the many levels.
Between the first floor and the lower level, we have constructed a mezzanine that is situated between two levels of stairs. This spacious landing prompts one to pause and view the family room through a wood-arched ceiling, with flanking wood display cases, before entering this well-appointed social area that contains the family room with a fireplace, pub, billiard room and solarium. A separate apartment, full-service cabana with kitchen and two bathrooms, sauna and a gym were also developed to satisfy the owner’s program.
Morpurgo Architects is known for its fastidious detailing, exemplified in this magnificent home by walnut-blasted oak paneling and built-ins that the firm designed to enhance the family’s entertainment space.
