The family used two different latches: The Modern Tapered Ring Latch and the Stainless Steel Ring Latch. They chose 10” Stainless Steel Strap Hinges with Pintles, as well as 18” Cranked Band Hinges. This Portland Zen Garden features two double gate sets to enter the serene back yard. The client chose our Asian Style Gate Latch and dummy handle for the gates. To top it all off, there’s a guest house for rent at the back of the property. Reservation, please?!

Our client had high-quality exterior hardware on the rest of her home, and when it came time to outfit the new trash and recycling enclosure, she wanted something of the same quality. She chose a Dark Bronze Contemporary Latch with Square Handle for its style and longevity. The latch looks contemporary while still being in touch with the traditional. In an installation like this, a client could choose to install just the latching side (the exposed side on the exterior of the enclosure).

This new home could not be more ideally situated! It’s perched on Newport Bay in California and has gorgeous views out the back of the house. The client chose a crisp contemporary white color for the paint and then wanted to accent that with black curb appeal items. For the exterior side gates, the client chose the Modern Gate Latch with Tapered Ring Handle. At the lovely entry, a Nero Contemporary Gate Latch adorns the courtyard gate. At the far end of the garage doors to the left is the #10 Mailbox, a modern wall-mount mailbox. Home designed by Cynthia Childs, Architect.

The Alta Gate Latch accommodates both in-swinging and out-swinging gates. For out-swinging gates, the latch-arm portion of the latch is installed on the street-side of the gate. This view is of the interior (patio) side of the fencing and gate. The client used a horizontal orientation to accentuate the modern design of her townhouse. Our client commissioned these gorgeous custom metal gates for his Spanish style home. For the front gate, he wanted to be able to lock it. He chose the Lockable Flip Latch for easy in and out, plus the ability to lock the gates. On the rear gate, he chose the Ornate Lever Latch. The finished product looks so wonderful and really complements the style of their home.
