Inspiration for a timeless wine cellar remodel in Tampa

Conceptually the Clark Street remodel began with an idea of creating a new entry. The existing home foyer was non-existent and cramped with the back of the stair abutting the front door. By defining an exterior point of entry and creating a radius interior stair, the home instantly opens up and becomes more inviting. From there, further connections to the exterior were made through large sliding doors and a redesigned exterior deck. Cellar designed, built, and installed by Mark King Cellar capacity is 1,800+ bottles on racking, not counting the cases on the floor. Cypress wood racking with PA Cherry stain. Lower soffit height required offset height racking Fluted columns conceal water and drain lines. Concealed LED strip lights illuminate angled bottle display row. Bottle pillow rails can be used to display bottles at an angle, with labels visible. Pillow rails do not interfere with standard bottle storage.

This boutique inspired closet has a double sided island with a waterfall edge, built-in dresser, handbag display cases and a shoe wall! LED lighting is featured behind all the glass inset doors and upper cabinet doors are inset with antique mirrored glass. A crystal chandelier is a showstopper!

Cape Cod; Dennis, MA This kitchen beautifully captures the essence of a Cape Cod coastal style, blending a light, airy color palette with high-end, functional elements. The room is centered around a kitchen island with a dark countertop and classic turned legs, offering a striking visual contrast to the mostly white space. The island provides both a spacious workspace and a casual dining area with woven bar stools that feature a subtle patterned cushion. Above the island, two modern pendant lights with polished metal shades serve as a focal point and provide task lighting. The kitchen's main work area features a white farmhouse sink situated beneath a large window, which floods the space with natural light. The countertops and full-height backsplash are a single slab of white marble with delicate veining, creating a clean and luxurious surface. The white shaker-style cabinetry, including glass-front cabinets for displaying dishes, reinforces the traditional coastal aesthetic. On the far left, a large, integrated refrigerator with sleek handles maintains the clean, built-in look of the cabinetry. The light wood floors provide warmth and a connection to natural elements, completing the inviting and sophisticated feel of the room.

Built right below the pitched roof line, we turned this challenging closet into a beautiful walk-in sanctuary. It features tall custom cabinetry with a shaker profile, built in shoe units behind glass inset doors and two handbag display cases. A long island with 15 drawers and another built-in dresser provide plenty of storage. A steamer unit is built behind a mirrored door.

This long, narrow closet is bright, airy with extra storage, wardrobe pull downs and a shoe carousel. Mirrored upper cabinets go to the 10 foot ceiling.

What better way to light an art collector's hallway than to light everything. With the potential for art to get lost in the shadow of an opaque piece, light must come from multiple directions. By edge-lighting the glass shelves, the pieces are provided with a soft under-light, but also give an illuminated edge providing a reflection to give the pieces sparkle. Miniature downlights are recessed into the lids of each display shelf while the base of each display glows with an LED light panel which backlights a frosted glass shelf. The offset door casing was softly backlit to reveal the bold color of the walls. Recessed adjustable downlights are hidden from view by periodic beams crossing the ceiling plane. With layer after layer of light all painstakingly integrated into the interiors and architecture, this space has the function and presence of an art museum in a residential setting. This room utilizes American Music Furniture's heirloom-quality pieces including The Olin wooden guitar stand, Nashville climate-controlled guitar display case, and custom guitar amp storage cabinet with sliding trays. All are shown in local solid American Black Walnut.

A custom media center conceived as a full-wall composition, integrating cabinetry, display, lighting, audio, and an electric fireplace into a cohesive built-in. Display cases with adjustable shelving and undermount lighting are balanced by white oak wall paneling and a substantial white oak hearth, introducing warmth and material contrast. The white oak acoustic slat paneling extends across the wall, creating visual continuity between the cabinetry, television, and fireplace and tying the individual elements into a unified composition. Integrated LED lighting provides subtle illumination throughout the display cases and emphasizes their depth. Lower cabinet doors incorporate acoustic fabric panels, allowing speakers to remain concealed while maintaining acoustic transparency. Designed specifically for the room, the installation combines concealed storage and integrated technology with carefully considered proportions, materials, and detailing.
