Dressing room - transitional gender-neutral dark wood floor dressing room idea in Philadelphia with open cabinets and white cabinets

This spacious, multi-level backyard in San Luis Obispo, CA, once completely underutilized and overtaken by weeds, was converted into the ultimate outdoor entertainment space with a custom pool and spa as the centerpiece. A cabana with a built-in storage bench, outdoor TV and wet bar provide a protected place to chill during hot pool days, and a screened outdoor shower nearby is perfect for rinsing off after a dip. A hammock attached to the master deck and the adjacent pool deck are ideal for relaxing and soaking up some rays. The stone veneer-faced water feature wall acts as a backdrop for the pool area, and transitions into a retaining wall dividing the upper and lower levels. An outdoor sectional surrounds a gas fire bowl to create a cozy spot to entertain in the evenings, with string lights overhead for ambiance. A Belgard paver patio connects the lounge area to the outdoor kitchen with a Bull gas grill and cabinetry, polished concrete counter tops, and a wood bar top with seating. The outdoor kitchen is tucked in next to the main deck, one of the only existing elements that remain from the previous space, which now functions as an outdoor dining area overlooking the entire yard. Finishing touches included low-voltage LED landscape lighting, pea gravel mulch, and lush planting areas and outdoor decor.

The Generation 4 Difference
In addition to offering the smoothest operation and slimmest frames in the market, Generation 4 window systems are engineered to withstand the harshest weather conditions, ensuring your home remains comfortable and protected year-round. Featuring continuous seals within each panel frame, these systems offer exceptional performance against air and water infiltration. The standard for every window system is two levels of insulating thermal breaks that provide superior protection from heat and cold, enhancing energy efficiency. The dry-glazed double or triple insulated glass options further bolster thermal performance while ensuring controlled drainage. In addition to weather protection, these energy-efficient tilt turn windows and fixed glass windows contribute to reduced energy costs in the long run.

The concrete bench actually functions as a retaining wall. There was roughly 12" of grade change that needed to be addressed to create this functional outdoor entertaining space. Materials: Architectural slabs, Cast-in-place concrete, IPE wood decking

Shed roof over the entry and lower level south facing windows provides critical shading on hot summer afternoons, shelters the main entry door, and helps break up the height of a 1 1/2 story gable wall. West facing windows are shaded by vegetation on the hillside above, but still provide lots of natural light in late afternoon. Rooftop cupola/ light monitor is centered over an upper level bridge connecting living spaces tucked under the steep main roof. Rusty metal wainscot protects the base of the house and blends with the natural landscape and mountain setting. Exposed soffits express the roof structure and corrugated raw steel roofing
