Main Line Kitchen Design is a brand new business model! We are a group of skilled Kitchen Designers each with many years of experience planning kitchens around the Delaware Valley. And we are cabinet dealers for 6 nationally distributed cabinet lines like traditional showrooms. At Main Line Kitchen Design instead of a full showroom we use a small office and selection center, and 100’s of sample doorstyles, finish and sample kitchen cabinets, as well as photo design books and CAD on laptops to display your kitchen. This way we eliminate the need and the cost associated with a showroom business model. This makes the design process more convenient for our customers, and we pass the significant savings on to them as well.
We believe that since a web site like Houzz.com has over half a million kitchen photos any advantage to going to a full kitchen showroom with full kitchen displays has been lost. Almost no customer today will ever get to see a display kitchen in their door style and finish there are just too many possibilities. And of course the design of each kitchen is unique anyway.
Our design process also allows us to spend more time working on our customer’s designs. This is what we enjoy most about our business and it is what makes the difference between an average and a great kitchen design. The kitchen cabinet lines we design with and sell are Jim Bishop, Wellsford Cabinetry, 6 Square, Fabuwood, Oracle, Village, Collier, and Bremtowm Fine Custom Cabinetry. Jake Ferry Photographer. Dancer Concrete Design was contacted to find the best way to deliver a finished concrete floor in such a different type of space. The home’s design is of two intersecting circles that make up the garage and main living space. A basement sits below half of the structure while a structural concrete pad supports the other half circle. The floor finishing would take place in the living room, dinning room, and into the kitchen. For this project the owners were fully occupying the space.
Of course this process aesthetically enhances the space, but we have also found it to increase the durability of our floors. After mechanically removing the grout we move to additional polishing steps and our two-step sealing process of densification and stain guard. Densifying is a reactive penetrating sealer that makes the concrete even stronger and resistant to scratches, stains and other contaminants. The homeowner selected a natural concrete finish – no added stains or dyes – and the final day, the team polished the floor to the desired finish, a level one, 400-grit shine.

The client’s request was quite common - a typical 2800 sf builder home with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living space, and den. However, their desire was for this to be “anything but common.” The result is an innovative update on the production home for the modern era, and serves as a direct counterpoint to the neighborhood and its more conventional suburban housing stock, which focus views to the backyard and seeks to nullify the unique qualities and challenges of topography and the natural environment.
The Terraced House cautiously steps down the site’s steep topography, resulting in a more nuanced approach to site development than cutting and filling that is so common in the builder homes of the area. The compact house opens up in very focused views that capture the natural wooded setting, while masking the sounds and views of the directly adjacent roadway. The main living spaces face this major roadway, effectively flipping the typical orientation of a suburban home, and the main entrance pulls visitors up to the second floor and halfway through the site, providing a sense of procession and privacy absent in the typical suburban home.
Clad in a custom rain screen that reflects the wood of the surrounding landscape - while providing a glimpse into the interior tones that are used. The stepping “wood boxes” rest on a series of concrete walls that organize the site, retain the earth, and - in conjunction with the wood veneer panels - provide a subtle organic texture to the composition.
The interior spaces wrap around an interior knuckle that houses public zones and vertical circulation - allowing more private spaces to exist at the edges of the building. The windows get larger and more frequent as they ascend the building, culminating in the upstairs bedrooms that occupy the site like a tree house - giving views in all directions.
The Terraced House imports urban qualities to the suburban neighborhood and seeks to elevate the typical approach to production home construction, while being more in tune with modern family living patterns.

Located near McAllister, Montana, the Double D Ranch was born from the owner’s hope for a more appealing accommodation than the original cabin, so his wife would enjoy her time in Montana as much as he did. We met with the couple and toured one of our other projects to get a better idea of what they had in mind. She became very involved in the process (and in fact is an interior designer), and together we created a ranch compound with: a main house, a guesthouse, a horse barn and fishing cabin. All are located on a rural parcel in a historic mining area—in fact, the stone for the buildings was reclaimed from local abandoned mines and the foundation built from century-old gold mine tailings. The buildings feature salvaged and reclaimed log, found branches from the surrounding site for ‘wiggly wood’ on the porches, and antique railroad lanterns act as exterior lighting to further establish tone and texture.
Today their home allows him to fish more, and her to raise paint horses and embrace the Montana lifestyle that her husband had hoped to share with her.

We removed the wall separating the kitchen and dining areas, widened existing doorways to the living room and entryway spaces, and installed a sliding glass door to the backyard.
The entire kitchen was completely renovated during this process as well, including the installation of new stainless steel appliances, under-mount sinks, a porcelain tile backsplash, and quartz counter tops on the new island and the main counter area.

OYSTER DECORATIVO
The Oyster decorativo; a natural evolution in which an already-successful design concept is still further enhanced in terms of form and function. There are two main innovative features; the surfaces which are no longer polished now a semi-matte. Even more eye-catching by the use of new materials and a thermostructuring process which gives the user a pleasingly natural feel and sensation.

Switching from a nursery to a toddler room can be challenging. We moved into our new house when my son was about one year old, crawling and walking like a champ. So it was my chance to make the switch. My usual process is figuring out the main colors first, well this time it was different since I had already few furniture pieces. Before we moved in I bough the beautiful Atlas Tapestry from Urban Outfitters which set the tone for the room. I was lucky enough to find turquoise curtains and storage bins from Ikea. I couldn’t stay away from Land of Nod so I had to get the Touch Tone Wall Hanger and the Grand Canvas USA Map. I got the growth chart from Etsy, there are a plenty of options and you can even get a personalized decal monogram.
