This master bathroom was once shouting with coral wallpaper, harsh gold accents and an over sized, unused tub. Our client wanted to escape to their master bathroom and feel as if they were in a spa atmosphere. We were able to show our client’s 3D concept renderings to communicate our overall master bathroom design. Using a marble curved basket weave mosaic tile on the floor with a black granite outline and Carrara baseboard, this stunning design began to take place. We selected a solid white, gloss tile for the shower walls so that our tile accent would be the shower focal point. The shower features a curbless entry, linear drain and seamless glass design for the most luxurious shower experience. Since our client had two beautiful chandeliers from her late mother’s home, we incorporated the fixtures into the lighting plan for a touch of sentimental glam. Custom designed vanity cabinets along with a vessel sink and waterfall edge countertop provided a useful yet beautiful accent to this bathroom. Stunning black sconces offer a softer lighting option that is incorporated with new can lights overhead. The finishing touch on this beautiful master bathroom is the custom designed valances above the windows that offer a sleek black accent with a subtle floral print.

Baton Rouge has many older homes that are located in neighborhoods near restaurants, shopping centers, hospitals and other places that make life more convenient. You can have that "new home design" in an established neighborhood by choosing to remodel! This home has steadily seen property values rise over the years, especially since the adjoining neighboring development of Willow Grove began construction approximately 10 years ago. As property values increase, many homeowners decide to make significant improvements to their homes and still gain back the majority of their investment. This master bathroom remodel is an example of the type of project that adds value by transforming an outdated room into a spa-like master bathroom that the owner has dreamed about for years. It has a large curb-less walk-in tile shower with semi-frameless glass entry, custom cabinet, quartz countertops as well as many other amenities.

This remodel began as a powder bathroom and hall bathroom project, giving the powder bath a beautiful shaker style wainscoting and completely remodeling the second-floor hall bath. The second-floor hall bathroom features a mosaic tile accent, subway tile used for the entire shower, brushed nickel finishes, and a beautiful dark grey stained vanity with a quartz countertop. Once the powder bath and hall bathroom was complete, the homeowner decided to immediately pursue the master bathroom, creating a stunning, relaxing space. The master bathroom received the same styled wainscotting as the powder bath, as well as a free-standing tub, oil-rubbed bronze finishes, and porcelain tile flooring.

Homeowner Services of Michigan is excited to present a remarkable project: reimagining an existing back room into a spacious first-floor master suite. This transformation combines comfort, style, and functionality, creating a luxurious private retreat for our client.
Project Overview:
We began by completely reconfiguring the back room to accommodate a spacious first-floor master suite. The newly installed hardwood floors provide a warm and inviting foundation, enhancing the overall aesthetic and adding timeless elegance to the space.
The master suite now features two generous walk-in closets, offering ample storage and organization solutions. We installed a new bedroom window to welcome natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere.
For added convenience and modern appeal, we included recessed lighting throughout the suite. This not only improves the room's functionality but also adds a sleek and contemporary touch.
A significant aspect of this project was the integration of a private first-floor bathroom, providing easy access and enhancing the suite's overall luxury. The new expanded rear doorway opens directly into the client’s private garden retreat, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living. This feature offers a tranquil and picturesque view, perfect for relaxation.
Every detail of this project was carefully planned and executed to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and client satisfaction. Homeowner Services of Michigan is proud to deliver a first-floor master suite that exceeds expectations, combining practicality with elegance for an unparalleled living experience.

This master bathroom was a complete addition to the existing home, taking the project from the ground on up.
Our team began by laying the foundation for the structure, followed by the framing, drywall installation, and exterior stucco to create a seamless addition to the existing structure.
For the interior, we installed new windows to bring in natural light, along with a built in niche providing convenient storage for everyday bathroom essentials.
We installed tile throughout the shower area, including the floors and walls. The walls feature a beautiful square, artistic-style off-white tile that adds warmth, texture, and a timeless character to the space.
The space was completed with elegant brushed-brass fixtures that complement the soft, neutral tile beautifully.
Finally, we painted the ceiling to complete the clean, polished look of this newly constructed master bathroom.

This project began as a kitchen and master bath remodel but evolved into a full house transformation with an Industrial Chic aesthetic. The goal was to achieve an industrial style without leaning too masculine, fulfilling the client’s desire for dark stained cabinetry. To balance the bold cabinets, we introduced bright quartz countertops and a marble hexagon mosaic backsplash. Cali Bamboo Mendocino Oak floors complemented the cabinetry without overpowering it, and open shelves, fireplace mantle, and staircase posts were all carefully stained to match, creating a cohesive flow throughout the home. In the master bath, the vanity design allowed both existing windows to remain in place, with the center sink raised to a more comfortable height. Thoughtfully selected materials and finishes tie the entire home together seamlessly.

When Cummings Architects first met with the owners of this understated country farmhouse, the building’s layout and design was an incoherent jumble. The original bones of the building were almost unrecognizable. All of the original windows, doors, flooring, and trims – even the country kitchen – had been removed. Mathew and his team began a thorough design discovery process to find the design solution that would enable them to breathe life back into the old farmhouse in a way that acknowledged the building’s venerable history while also providing for a modern living by a growing family.
The redesign included the addition of a new eat-in kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, wrap around porch, and stone fireplaces. To begin the transforming restoration, the team designed a generous, twenty-four square foot kitchen addition with custom, farmers-style cabinetry and timber framing. The team walked the homeowners through each detail the cabinetry layout, materials, and finishes. Salvaged materials were used and authentic craftsmanship lent a sense of place and history to the fabric of the space.
The new master suite included a cathedral ceiling showcasing beautifully worn salvaged timbers. The team continued with the farm theme, using sliding barn doors to separate the custom-designed master bath and closet. The new second-floor hallway features a bold, red floor while new transoms in each bedroom let in plenty of light. A summer stair, detailed and crafted with authentic details, was added for additional access and charm.
Finally, a welcoming farmer’s porch wraps around the side entry, connecting to the rear yard via a gracefully engineered grade. This large outdoor space provides seating for large groups of people to visit and dine next to the beautiful outdoor landscape and the new exterior stone fireplace.
Though it had temporarily lost its identity, with the help of the team at Cummings Architects, this lovely farmhouse has regained not only its former charm but also a new life through beautifully integrated modern features designed for today’s family.
