From the moment the permits were approved, our construction team set out to transform every corner of this space. During the building phase, we meticulously refinished floors, walls, and ceilings, replaced doors, and updated electrical and plumbing systems. The main focus of the renovation was to create a seamless flow between the living room, formal dining room, and open kitchen. A stunning waterfall peninsula with pendant lighting, along with Statuario Nuvo Quartz countertop and backsplash, elevated the aesthetics. Matte white cabinetry was added to enhance functionality and storage in the newly remodeled kitchen. This 5687 sf home was a major renovation including significant modifications to exterior and interior structural components, walls and foundations. Included were the addition of several multi slide exterior doors, windows, new patio cover structure with master deck, climate controlled wine room, master bath steam shower, 4 new gas fireplace appliances and the center piece- a cantilever structural steel staircase with custom wood handrail and treads. A complete demo down to drywall of all areas was performed excluding only the secondary baths, game room and laundry room where only the existing cabinets were kept and refinished. Some of the interior structural and partition walls were removed. All flooring, counter tops, shower walls, shower pans and tubs were removed and replaced. New cabinets in kitchen and main bar by Mid Continent. All other cabinetry was custom fabricated and some existing cabinets refinished. Counter tops consist of Quartz, granite and marble. Flooring is porcelain tile and marble throughout. Wall surfaces are porcelain tile, natural stacked stone and custom wood throughout. All drywall surfaces are floated to smooth wall finish. Many electrical upgrades including LED recessed can lighting, LED strip lighting under cabinets and ceiling tray lighting throughout. The front and rear yard was completely re landscaped including 2 gas fire features in the rear and a built in BBQ. The pool tile and plaster was refinished including all new concrete decking.

We were called into this project after the clients discovered a long working leak in their plumbing. By the time it was detected there was black mold under the entire Brick on Sand floor. In order to remove the brick all of the interior walls had to be removed. In all, the kitchen, living room, two bathrooms and a bedroom were demolished. Taking advantage of the freedom of a blank slate they hired the same designer who originally did the house and came up with a new plan which is where we come in. The Salamander Company was hired to rebuild and improve the original space. First, we poured a new concrete slab complete with upgraded radiant floor heat. We re-built the mechanical room with upgraded components and tied in the original hot water solar heat with the new system. We finished the floor with brick. With the clients in close collaboration, we upgraded the kitchen with new Alder cabinets and Granite countertops, a new Master Bedroom suite with walk-in closet and a beautifully tiled Master Bathroom. In all the new floor plan works well with the clients lifestyle and they have reportedly been warm and cozy all winter.

This end of the existing family room has been expanded to make room for a generously scaled fireplace flanked by cabinets with display shelving above and storage below. The TV is conveniently housed in the lower cabinet to the left and will rise on a lift on command from the remote control. A/V components will be housed in the cabinet on the right. New hardwood flooring has been installed and will be sanded and stained with the existing flooring to create one seamless floor. The fireplace is accentuated with a Carrara marble mosaic tile in a herringbone pattern. The mantle and column details were custom designed for this project. Polished nickel has been used throughout for details such as lighting and hardware.

This particular home located in Cave Springs, Arkansas was an in house design + build. We were tasked with the challenge of figuring out a way to unify our clients contemporary taste, the neighborhood covenants, and the dramatic grade of the lot. When designing, we always feel it’s important to take into account the surrounding natural landscape. We want our homes and nature to complement each other and to lean on each other to enhance the living environment of its inhabitants. We felt strongly that we needed to use the slope of the lot in our design, which led us to create multiple levels to the home. Too often the garage door is an afterthought and it ends up being a major component of the street view of a home. Due to the extreme grade change over the lot we were able to tuck the garage under the main living area. This concealed the garage door from the street view. The entry is situated between two small level changes. The living space is situated 24” above the entry. This creates a pulling effect that takes you up to an elevation amongst the trees. With windows on all sides, nature calls you out to sit on the covered porch situated in the trees. The kitchen and the dining area sit 24” below the entry level, creating a tucked-in intimate space. The private master suite is located at the top of the floating metal stairs on its own floor. With a workout room, his and hers closets, and a natural lit large master bathroom the space gives the home owners a nice retreat from the rest of the house.

Beyond the technical plumbing, this shot showcases the custom-designed tile transitions and integrated lighting that turn a functional space into a visual masterpiece in Hayden, Idaho. Signature Craftsmanship Details: 18-Outlet Command Column: Visible here is the vertical array of massaging body sprayers and high-volume showerheads. This density of Kohler professional plumbing fixtures is meticulously spaced for total body coverage, all managed by the central computerized DTV system. Integrated Polk Audio Soundscape: Flanking the showerheads are the moisture-resistant Polk Audio speakers. We’ve built these directly into the wall assembly, providing a wireless, high-fidelity audio experience that maintains the room's sleek architectural lines. Artisan Niche & Mosaic Detail: The centerpiece of this wall is a deep-set shampoo niche, featuring a precision-installed linear LED light channel. We framed the niche with a sophisticated mosaic tile border, adding a layer of fine-scale texture that contrasts beautifully with the large-format field stone. Decorative Vertical Transitions: To emphasize the height and scale of the suite, we installed decorative accent tiles running floor-to-ceiling on the left and right. This vertical detail frames the plumbing and audio components, adding a sense of intentional, curated design to the technical wall. Seamless Stone Integration: The alignment of the mosaic details with the plumbing cutouts requires a high level of layout precision, ensuring that every sprayer and speaker is perfectly centered within the decorative tile framework.
