Richard's master bathroom, initially envisioned as a contemporary Italian aesthetic, was compromised by the disappointing results and challenges faced with a previous contractor.
The space was incomplete and lacked everything he yearned for. Issues like a cramped shower area and a bathtub that he never used contributed to a room that felt more like an afterthought than a retreat.
The shower stretching elegantly to the ceiling is the heart of this transformation. It’s a masterpiece of the design featuring the stunning Sterlina II Ivory porcelain on the walls and niche, exuding a sleek, modern feel.
The shower’s dry-off area provides embodies a thoughtful design with the needed convenience for a door-less shower entry. Accentuating this area is the unique and captivating Diamond White Wood Marble tile running along the wall vertically to enlarge the feel of his bathroom.
The Pietra Italia Mosaic adds contemporary luxury to the shower floor, while the frameless glass panel adds to the illusion of an expansive, uninterrupted space.
In the vanity area, Richard selected Waypoint Cabinetry in a Cherry Java finish, which paired with the shower's accent tile, create a cohesive look, enhanced by the walls and ceiling in a soothing Dove White paint.
The floor tile in Pietra Italia, matches his new shower floor and ties the room together, striking the perfect balance between elegance and modernity.
Richard's experience with PHR went beyond renovation in restoring his trust in the design-build process and transforming his master bathroom into a luxurious, functional, and personalized space.

The transitional master bathroom remodel married two distinct styles together, traditional and modern. She was looking for the traditional warmth of the white oak cabinetry, while he wanted the modern look with the shaker door profile.

This home addition didn't go according to plan... and that's a good thing. Here's why.
Family is really important to the Nelson's. But the small kitchen and living room in their 30 plus-year-old house meant crowded holidays for all the children and grandchildren. It was easy to see that a major home remodel was needed. The problem was the Nelson's didn't know anyone who had a great experience with a builder.
The Nelson's connected with ALL Renovation & Design at a home show in York, PA, but it wasn't until after sitting down with several builders and going over preliminary designs that it became clear that Amos listened and cared enough to guide them through the project in a way that would achieve their goals perfectly. So work began on a new addition with a “great room” and a master bedroom with a master bathroom.
That's how it started. But the project didn't go according to plan. Why? Because Amos was constantly asking, “What would make you 100% satisfied.” And he meant it. For example, when Mrs. Nelson realized how much she liked the character of the existing brick chimney, she didn't want to see it get covered up. So plans changed mid-stride. But we also realized that the brick wouldn't fit with the plan for a stone fireplace in the new family room. So plans changed there as well, and brick was ordered to match the chimney.
It was truly a team effort that produced a beautiful addition that is exactly what the Nelson's wanted... or as Mrs. Nelson said, “...even better, more beautiful than we envisioned.”
For Christmas, the Nelson's were able to have the entire family over with plenty of room for everyone. Just what they wanted.
The outside of the addition features GAF architectural shingles in Pewter, Certainteed Mainstreet D4 Shiplap in light maple, and color-matching bricks. Inside the great room features the Armstrong Prime Harvest Oak engineered hardwood in a natural finish, Masonite 6-panel pocket doors, a custom sliding pine barn door, and Simonton 5500 series windows. The master bathroom cabinetry was made to match the bedroom furniture set, with a cultured marble countertop from Countertec, and tile flooring.

Drastic personality change for this Ann Arbor bathroom/ powder room - bringing it from the 1970’s to 2010’s. The porcelain wall was designed as a floor to ceiling backsplash around this modern sink - a Corian washplane that drains into the wall. A modern wall mounted faucet and a clean mirror with standoffs complete the clean lines.

This West Village is the combination of 2 apartments into a larger one, which takes advantage of the stunning double height spaces, extremely unusual in NYC. While keeping the pre-war flair the residence maintains a minimal and contemporary design.

A stepping stone path meanders through drought-tolerant plantings including Dymondia, Rosemary 'Barbeque', and Euryops. The owner's favorite roses are integrated with Penstemon 'Apple Blossom' and variegated Tulbaghia 'Silver Lace' to provide color and contrast. Photo © Jude Parkinson-Morgan.

Sea Arches is a stunning modern architectural masterpiece, perched atop an eleven-acre peninsular promontory rising 160 feet above the Pacific Ocean on northern California’s spectacular Mendocino coast. Surrounded by the ocean on 3 sides and presiding over unparalleled vistas of sea and surf, Sea Arches includes 2,000 feet of ocean frontage, as well as beaches that extend some 1,300 feet. This one-of-a-kind property also includes one of the famous Elk Sea Stacks, a grouping of remarkable ancient rock outcroppings that tower above the Pacific, and add a powerful and dramatic element to the coastal scenery.
