A wall-mounted custom vanity offers ample storage and is complemented with a custom mirror. The contemporary flooring looks beautiful and serves a functional purpose, too, as it is slip-resistant.

The design of this four bedroom Upper West Side apartment involved the complete renovation of one half of the unit and the remodeling of the other half. The main living space includes a foyer, lounge, library, kitchen and island. The library can be converted into the fourth bedroom by deploying a series of sliding/folding glass doors together with a pivoting wall panel to separate it from the rest of the living area. The kitchen is delineated as a special space within the open floor plan by virtue of a folded wooden volume around the island - inviting casual congregation and dining. All three bathrooms were designed with a common language of modern finishes and fixtures, with functional variations depending on their location within the apartment. New closets serve each bedroom as well as the foyer and lounge spaces. Materials are kept to a limited palette of dark stained wood flooring, American Walnut for bathroom vanities and the kitchen island, white gloss and lacquer finish cabinetry, and translucent glass door panelling with natural anodized aluminum trim. Inspiration for a timeless dining room remodel in DC Metro

Our Pasadena studio gave this bathroom a re-fresh so that our clients could relax and rejuvenate in its serene design language. A wall-mounted custom vanity offers ample storage and is complemented with a custom mirror. The contemporary flooring looks beautiful and serves a functional purpose, too, as it is slip-resistant.

This project was a head-to-toe home renovation of a beautiful Pacifica single-family beach house. Our client bought this home 8+ years ago and had added on a master bathroom that features beautiful handcrafted Fire+Clay turquoise tiles. Little had been done, outside of painting the rooms, before we came along. Every room in this home was hidden away, but by knocking down a few walls the kitchen, living room and dining space became one large open area with small dividing features. With a great deal of collaboration from the General Contractor, we added a skylight in the dining room, pulled up the windows in the kitchen to allow for the new cabinets to fit at a comfortable height, moved the sliding doors that were never used from the master bedroom to the dining room and replaced that opening with new large windows to flush the space with natural light. We updated the guest bathroom by repainting the walls, adding new fixtures and elements that spoke to the new language of the home. Che Interiors, with the collaboration of our client, hand selected all the furnishings, window treatments, and decor throughout. We picked up on those blue and green hues of the master bathroom tiles and incorporated them throughout the rest of the home in custom furniture + home goods, area rugs, and more. By removing a useless closet in the dining room and adding a beautiful arch opening we created a perfect spot for the Turquoise custom buffet cabinet and carried the arch into the master bedroom to create a space for a home office that features a custom desk. Lastly, we put the cherry on top with The Shade Store’s woven beach style window treatments throughout the home. What once was a disarray of colors and closed off spaces is now a lovely California-Chic beach home.

This large estate home incorporates an indoor basketball court, indoor pool, lower level bar and bowling alley. Careful interpretation of turn of the century British architecture and consideration for the equestrian character of the Saratoga region inspired the language used to organize this home’s exterior. The power and mass of stucco and stone are offset by gracefully sweeping rooflines and painted trim to create a balance of form intended to be impressive and yet welcoming. The compound includes the main residence, a 1,200 square foot guest residence, pond, outdoor pool and tennis court.

Modernism and traditionalism are just steps away from each other at this Vienna Virginia pool house. The main house, built by a national homebuilder, draws upon tradition, but the pool house, speaks the language of contemporary minimalism. It presents clean lines and a soaring roofline overhanging tall glass doors and clerestory windows. Great design, careful attention to detail, first-rate materials and impeccable craftsmanship have yielded a spectacular solution for outdoor entertaining. This Fort Worth residence, originally built in 1983, was reimagined for homeowners who wanted to remain in a home they loved while elevating it for the way they live today. Designed and built by USI Design & Remodeling, the project unfolded in three phases over an 8yr period, beginning with a complete primary bath reconfiguration that removed an oversized corner tub, reset the toilet location, and created a larger shower, improved circulation, and dedicated his-and-hers storage. The second and third phases expanded the soft contemporary design language throughout the home, including a second primary-level bath, kitchen, breakfast area, family room, laundry, dining spaces, flooring, doors, trim, cabinetry, and architectural detailing. Natural stone, maple millwork, curated lighting, garden views, and gallery-like focal points were used to create a cohesive interior that feels lighter, more personal, and more refined while honoring the home’s original character.

Superbly oriented penthouse apartment with two breathtaking terraces facing Manhattan’s eastern & western skylines. A language of harmony between subtle detail, luxurious architectural components, and seamless transitions throughout all spaces culminates in this modern, intricate and stunning apartment home.

The Back Bay House is comprised of two main structures, a nocturnal wing and a daytime wing, joined by a glass gallery space. The daytime wing maintains an informal living arrangement that includes the dining space placed in an intimate alcove, a large country kitchen and relaxing seating area which opens to a classic covered porch and on to the water’s edge. The nocturnal wing houses three bedrooms. The master at the water side enjoys views and sounds of the wildlife and the shore while the two subordinate bedrooms soak in views of the garden and neighboring meadow. To bookend the scale and mass of the house, a whimsical tower was included to the nocturnal wing. The tower accommodates flex space for a bunk room, office or studio space. Materials and detailing of this house are based on a classic cottage vernacular language found in these sorts of buildings constructed in pre-war north america and harken back to a simpler time and scale. Eastern white cedar shingles, white painted trim and moulding collectively add a layer of texture and richness not found in today’s lexicon of detail. The house is 1,628 sf plus a 228 sf tower and a detached, two car garage which employs massing, detail and scale to allow the main house to read as dominant but not overbearing. This spare but stylish set of bathroom furniture unites a clarity and cleanliness of design with ultimate practicality for the bathroom with simple needs or restricted space. Attractive contrast: The one-piece, beveled-edge countertop and built-in basin is crafted from slim white gloss ceramic, an attractive counterfoil to the dark woody base. It features a soft-edged, rectangular shape which tapers to a smaller base. The whole unit is wall-mounted, to further enhance its sheer, ‘floating’, base-less simplicity.
