These active homeowners wanted to create a master bathroom that would allow them to enjoy their new space for years to come, without the need to make future modifications.

Original bedroom window was left in place. A tempered glass film was placed over it for safety, and a stained glass window found on Amazon. The door was saved from the former bedroom door.

We designed and constructed the master bathroom in this Fulton Award winning custom home, built by Merv Miller Builder LLC. The bathroom won Best Bath in it's category and the home was awarded Best Single Family Home in the Lancaster BIA's Parade of Homes, 2014. We worked with kitchen and bath designer, Pat Caulfied, for this project and were thrilled with the end result. The home craftsman style but the open concept and use of lighter and painted wood finishes instead of traditional dark woods makes the house feel light and spacious. Universal Design makes things safer, easier, and more convenient for everyone. This bath was designed using the principles of universal design, which is the term used for a space can be used by the widest range of people possible. Everyone faces difficulties at any given point in their lives – from a sprained ankle to a serious injury – universal design addresses the needs of people using the space for the longevity of the space. At Re Bath & More, we feel that a universal space can be beautiful as well as functional. One of the key points we incorporated into this bath was to design a space for all the senses. As we age, our vision yellows and depth perception can become an issue. By using a high contrast of light colored flooring, darker cabinets and lighter countertops there is a clear definition of space. The floor is also textured for safety in walking on a wet area and the long vanity can provide support when walking through the space.

The owners of this 1980’s built-home wanted to create a completely new look for their outdated master bath and turned to Renovisions for design and build services. Having perused Renovisions website, they were confident they made the right choice to help them transform their ordinary space into something truly extraordinary. The design team created several configurations for the homeowners review until they nailed down one particular design that would create that wow factor. The main challenges were creating an open, spacious feel and maximizing natural light and ventilation with plenty of storage and customizations. The addition of a second window allows ample light into the space throughout the day along with the recessed and sconce lights which were perfectly placed. Storage, which was a key element of this design, includes two separate vanity cabinets (his and hers) with plenty of space for needed toiletries, a matching framed medicine cabinet for her and a custom built cubby for him. Built on site was a linen closet with both roll out and stationary shelves for towels and shower supplies. The spacious walk-in, all tiled shower boasts ‘no door’ access with lineal drain, traditional fixed and hand-held shower heads and a rounded shower seat. Polished black granite was used inside the cubby and topping both the threshold and seat creating a nice contrast to and tying in with the floor. The decorative grab bar ensures safety for these homeowners while showering. The heated floors added throughout the bath take the edge off when stepping out of the warm shower and are conveniently operated by a 24 hour programmable thermostat. Classic white subway tile and chair rail trims adorne all walls and tie in nicely to each vanity station. Carrera look quartz was the perfect choice for countertops creating a clean fresh look. Stunning marble basket-weave mosaic floor tile set the stage in this exquisite bath as the beautiful white painted cabinetry softened the overall feel of the space. Our clients requested a dramatic, yet classy look for their master and guest bathroom remodels. The clients desperately needed more storage space and wanted to maximize functionality. We were excited to share our ideas and design a timeless look that the clients could enjoy for many years. Our clients wanted the look of marble, without the maintenance of natural stone, in addition to a bold contrasting element within this space. The goal was to use similar materials throughout, but implement various patterns and textures to create a visual flow from one area to the next. To maximize storage and propose a contrasting element, we designed the cabinetry using maple cabinets with an Onyx finish for a classic look. Outback granite countertops were fabricated for the vanities. We installed the same granite on the tub deck and within the shower to create a smooth visual flow. The cabinet finish allowed the natural light from the window to provide colorful dimension to the overall look of the cabinets. The shower is wrapped in breathtaking porcelain slabs intended to look like marble, and provide little to no maintenance. We were also able to create a cubby for maintaining a window in the bedroom that used to face the rear yard.
