The owners lived in their home as we added this gorgeous contemporary master suite addition in Del Mar. We tore off the roof of the home, added a 2nd story 654 sqft master suite and successfully minimized the disruption to their daily lives. Working as a team throughout the process made this master suite renovation enjoyable for both the client and the TaylorPro team.
To quote the owners, "Kerry Taylor and his team were simply outstanding...We have very busy work lives and I need calm and order at home. I very much appreciated how Kerry and his team handled our project especially since we stayed in our home for this entire remodel process. Throughout it all, Kerry was a ready knowledgeable resource and always responsive to anything we raised or simply were curious about. The attention to detail and delivering a quality product was fabulous and sustained throughout the entire process. The finished project was even better than we hoped and we now feel that we have a transformed home. As a special plus, the budget was just as advertised! We were so happy that we actually added additional work to the project that I was planning to do at a later time. We couldn't be happier!"

Situated on the west slope of Mt. Baker Ridge, this remodel takes a contemporary view on traditional elements to maximize space, lightness and spectacular views of downtown Seattle and Puget Sound. We were approached by Vertical Construction Group to help a client bring their 1906 craftsman into the 21st century. The original home had many redeeming qualities that were unfortunately compromised by an early 2000’s renovation. This left the new homeowners with awkward and unusable spaces. After studying numerous space plans and roofline modifications, we were able to create quality interior and exterior spaces that reflected our client’s needs and design sensibilities. The resulting master suite, living space, roof deck(s) and re-invented kitchen are great examples of a successful collaboration between homeowner and design and build teams.

The 10,000 sq. ft. Bellagio Residence was a 1939 Georgian Revival overlooking the manicured links of the Bel Air Country Club that was in need of a modern touch. Stripped down to the studs, Wearstler worked to create an additional 3,000 sq. ft. of living space, pushed up the ceiling heights, broadened windows and doors to allow more light and completely carved out a new master suite upstairs. Mixing the personalities of the clients, one slightly more conservative and focused on comfort, the other a little feistier that wanted something unique, Wearstler took a daredevil approach and created a high-chroma style that has become her new signature approach. Italian antiques, custom rugs inspired by silk scarves, hand-painted wallcoverings, bright hits of color like a tiger print Fuchsia velvet sofa against a plum colored pyramid studded wall and endless amounts of onyx and marble slab walls and floors make for an unapologetically lavish and seductive home.

This project successfully reclaims a beautiful Tribeca loft space from the dysfunctional layout and dated decor of previous renovations.
The project’s main goal was to establish a stronger division between the public and private areas of the apartment by switching the locations of the kitchen and bedroom. By moving the master bedroom adjacent to the existing bathroom and adding a new powder room off the kitchen, the new layout allows for a much stronger delineation between private and public functions.
The new bedroom area features new closets, a separate nursery room, and custom walnut headboard shelves. A new operable translucent-panel wall gives privacy to the bedroom, while maintaining a loft-like feel. The adjoining bathroom was renovated to restore the original high ceilings and provide for a new tub, shower stall and walnut vanity.
The new kitchen includes custom walnut cabinets, a single-piece Pietra Cardosa countertop island, a walk-in pantry with separate laundry room closet, and new designer fixtures and appliances.

This project is an incredible transformation and the perfect example of successful style mixing! This client, and now a good friend of TVL (as they all become), is a wonderfully eclectic and adventurous one with immense interest in texture play, pops of color, and unique applications. Our scope in this home included a full kitchen renovation, main level powder room renovation, and a master bathroom overhaul. Taking just over a year to complete from the first design phases to final photos, this project was so insanely fun and packs an amazing amount of fun details and lively surprises. The original kitchen was large and fairly functional. However, the cabinetry was dated, the lighting was inefficient and frankly ugly, and the space was lacking personality in general. Our client desired maximized storage and a more personalized aesthetic. The existing cabinets were short and left the nice height of the space under-utilized. We integrated new gray shaker cabinets from Waypoint Living Spaces and ran them to the ceiling to really exaggerate the height of the space and to maximize usable storage as much as possible. The upper cabinets are glass and lit from within, offering display space or functional storage as the client needs. The central feature of this space is the large cobalt blue range from Viking as well as the custom made reclaimed wood range hood floating above. The backsplash along this entire wall is vertical slab of marble look quartz from Pental Surfaces. This matches the expanse of the same countertop that wraps the room. Flanking the range, we installed cobalt blue lantern penny tile from Merola Tile for a playful texture that adds visual interest and class to the entire room. We upgraded the lighting in the ceiling, under the cabinets, and within cabinets--we also installed accent sconces over each window on the sink wall to create cozy and functional illumination. The deep, textured front Whitehaven apron sink is a dramatic nod to the farmhouse aesthetic from KOHLER, and it's paired with the bold and industrial inspired Tournant faucet, also from Kohler. We finalized this space with other gorgeous appliances, a super sexy dining table and chair set from Room & Board, the Paxton dining light from Pottery Barn and a small bar area and pantry on the far end of the space. In the small powder room on the main level, we converted a drab builder-grade space into a super cute, rustic-inspired washroom. We utilized the Bonner vanity from Signature Hardware and paired this with the cute Ashfield faucet from Pfister. The most unique statements in this room include the water-drop light over the vanity from Shades Of Light, the copper-look porcelain floor tile from Pental Surfaces and the gorgeous Cashmere colored Tresham toilet from Kohler. Up in the master bathroom, elegance abounds. Using the same footprint, we upgraded everything in this space to reflect the client's desire for a more bright, patterned and pretty space. Starting at the entry, we installed a custom reclaimed plank barn door with bold large format hardware from Rustica Hardware. In the bathroom, the custom slate blue vanity from Tharp Cabinet Company is an eye catching statement piece. This is paired with gorgeous hardware from Amerock, vessel sinks from Kohler, and Purist faucets also from Kohler. We replaced the old built-in bathtub with a new freestanding soaker from Signature Hardware. The floor tile is a bold, graphic porcelain tile with a classic color scheme. The shower was upgraded with new tile and fixtures throughout: new clear glass, gorgeous distressed subway tile from the Castle line from TileBar, and a sophisticated shower panel from Vigo. We finalized the space with a small crystal chandelier and soft gray paint. This project is a stunning conversion and we are so thrilled that our client can enjoy these personalized spaces for years to come. Special thanks to the amazing Ian Burks of Burks Wurks Construction for bringing this to life!

Tustin residents can rightfully claim fantastic quality and ambiance while accommodating comfort in their "New Bathroom Remodeling" project.
For this Tustin Bathroom Remodeling, the "natural stone look" ceramic tile was desired in the design to alleviate upkeep while keeping elements of a more "Modern look" intact. A Frame less glass shower door was installed with glass liner. The tile is accented with a multi-tone back splash to tie it together.
This design utilized the elements of glass, ceramic tile, and raised ceilings, essential to create comfort and space evident in this bathroom remodeling project.
This Tustin bathroom remodeling project was an Epic success! The Clients are ecstatic with there new design in Orange County..

With 2 full sized windows this bathroom has lots of natural light. The soaking tub is modern, but the vanity is traditional.

An empty-nester couple in a quiet, hilly neighborhood, found themselves ready to remodel their 2nd floor master suite as they had often dreamed of. The original tract home layout and street façade left something to be desired with no framed views, a cramped master bath, and minimal storage & ventilation.
ENRarchitects composed a new addition over the garage, in front of the original gable, which features a large picture window with operable sashes. The features include a vaulted ceiling Master Bath, a spacious, glass-enclosed shower & bench, a luxurious spa, “His & Her” walk-in closets, and a bonus attic storage. All the house baths were also updated, with the upstairs bath getting a new lavatory skylight. New accent windows frame the Master Bed.
Now the Master Bath is flooded with natural light, ventilation and views of the hills beyond, either directly, or as reflected in the lavatory mirrors.
The collaboration with the Owners was a huge success in the selections of materials, fixtures and colors.
