Renovisions received a request from these homeowners to remodel their existing master bath with the design goal: a spa-like environment featuring a large curb-less shower with multiple showerheads and a linear drain. Accessibility features include a hand-held showerhead mounted on a sliding bar with separate volume controls, a large bench seat in Blue Pearl granite and a decorative safety bar in a chrome finish. Multiple showerheads accommodated our clients ranging heights and requests for options including a more rigorous spray of water to a soft flow from a ceiling mounted rain showerhead. The various sprays provide a full luxury shower experience. The curb-less Schluter shower system incorporates a fully waterproof and vapor tight environment to ensure a beautiful, durable and functional tiled shower. In this particular shower, Renovisions furnished and installed an elegant low-profile linear floor drain with a sloped floor design to enable the use of the attractive large-format (17” x 17”) Carrera-look porcelain tiles. Coordinating Carrera-look porcelain tiles with a band of color and shower cubby in Blue Pearl granite tie in with the color of the tile seat and ledge. A custom frameless glass shower enclosure with sleek glass door handles showcases the beautiful tile design. Replacing the existing Corian acrylic countertops and integrated sinks with granite countertops in Blue Pearl and rectangular under mount porcelain sinks created a gorgeous, striking contrast to the white vanity cabinetry. The widespread faucets featuring crystal handles in a chrome finish, sconce lighting with crystal embellishments and crystal knobs were perfect choices to enhance the elegant look for the desired space. After a busy day at work, our clients come home and enjoy a renewed, more open sanctuary/spa-like master bath and relax in style.

This is in a Master Bedroom, where the Client wanted to conceal a TV. A foot of the bed TV lift was not an option, so we built a recessed niche behind the a artwork to conceal a TV. A custom rack and pinion lifting system raises the artwork up when the client would like to watch TV.

Boasting views of the Museum of Natural History and Central Park, the Beaux Arts and French Renaissance style building built in 1900 was once home to a luxury hotel. Over the years multiple hotel rooms were combined into the larger apartment residences that exist today. The resulting units, while large in size, lacked the continuity of a single formed space. StudioLAB was presented with the challenge of re-designing the space to fit a modern family’s lifestyle today with the flexibility to adjust as they evolve into their tomorrow. Thus, the existing configuration was completely abandoned with new programmatic elements being relocated in each and every corner of the space. For clients that are big wine connoisseurs, the focal point of entry and circulation lies in a 400 bottle, custom built, blackened steel and glass, temperature controlled wine cabinet. The once enclosed living room was demolished to create one main entertaining space that includes a new dining area and open kitchen. Hafele bi-folding pocket door slides were used in the Living room wall unit to conceal the television, bar and display shelves when not in use. Posing as kitchen cabinetry, a hidden integrated door opens to reveal a guest bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Down the hallway of wide plank ebony stained walnut flooring, a compact powder room was built to house an original Paul Villinski installation of small butterflies cut from recycled aluminum cans, entitled Mistral. Continuing down the hall, and through one of the walnut veneered doors, is the shared kids bedroom where a custom-built bunk bed with integrated storage steps and desk was designed to allow for play space and a reading corner. The kids bathroom across the hall is decorated with custom Lego inspired hand cast concrete tiles and integrated pull-out footstools residing underneath the floating vanity. The master suite features a bio-ethanol fireplace wrapped in blackened steel and integrated into the Tabu veneered built-in. The spacious walk-in closet serves several purposes, which include housing the apartment’s new central HVAC system as well as a sleeping spot for the family’s dog. An integrated URC control system paired with Lutron Radio RA lighting keypads were installed to control the AV, HVAC, lighting and solar shades all by the use of smartphones.

As if chocolate wasn't luxurious enough on its own, this Worthington, Ohio, bathroom remodel makes it even more luxurious. The rich color of Kraftmaid's Northwicke style cabinets in cherry peppercorn add an extra decadence to this bathroom remodel. The countertops are Giallo Boreal granite. The porcelain tile for the shower, from Hamilton Parker Company, is Emil Anthology Velvet Marble - 12x12 in the shower and 12x24 for the floor.

Our clients called us wanting to not only update their master bathroom but to specifically make it more functional. She had just had knee surgery, so taking a shower wasn’t easy. They wanted to remove the tub and enlarge the shower, as much as possible, and add a bench. She really wanted a seated makeup vanity area, too. They wanted to replace all vanity cabinets making them one height, and possibly add tower storage. With the current layout, they felt that there were too many doors, so we discussed possibly using a barn door to the bedroom. We removed the large oval bathtub and expanded the shower, with an added bench. She got her seated makeup vanity and it’s placed between the shower and the window, right where she wanted it by the natural light. A tilting oval mirror sits above the makeup vanity flanked with Pottery Barn “Hayden” brushed nickel vanity lights. A lit swing arm makeup mirror was installed, making for a perfect makeup vanity! New taller Shiloh “Eclipse” bathroom cabinets painted in Polar with Slate highlights were installed (all at one height), with Kohler “Caxton” square double sinks. Two large beautiful mirrors are hung above each sink, again, flanked with Pottery Barn “Hayden” brushed nickel vanity lights on either side. Beautiful Quartzmasters Polished Calacutta Borghini countertops were installed on both vanities, as well as the shower bench top and shower wall cap. Carrara Valentino basketweave mosaic marble tiles was installed on the shower floor and the back of the niches, while Heirloom Clay 3x9 tile was installed on the shower walls. A Delta Shower System was installed with both a hand held shower and a rainshower. The linen closet that used to have a standard door opening into the middle of the bathroom is now storage cabinets, with the classic Restoration Hardware “Campaign” pulls on the drawers and doors. A beautiful Birch forest gray 6”x 36” floor tile, laid in a random offset pattern was installed for an updated look on the floor. New glass paneled doors were installed to the closet and the water closet, matching the barn door. A gorgeous Shades of Light 20” “Pyramid Crystals” chandelier was hung in the center of the bathroom to top it all off! The bedroom was painted a soothing Magnetic Gray and a classic updated Capital Lighting “Harlow” Chandelier was hung for an updated look. We were able to meet all of our clients needs by removing the tub, enlarging the shower, installing the seated makeup vanity, by the natural light, right were she wanted it and by installing a beautiful barn door between the bathroom from the bedroom! Tucked away in the backwoods of Torch Lake, this home marries “rustic” with the sleek elegance of modern. The combination of wood, stone and metal textures embrace the charm of a classic farmhouse. A tile and glass shower features a shower head rail system that is flanked by windows on both sides. The glass door swings out and in. The wall visible from the door when you walk in is a one inch glass mosaic tile that pulls all the colors from the room together. Brass plumbing fixtures and brass hardware add warmth. Limestone tile floors add texture. Pendants were used on each side of the vanity and reflect in the framed mirror.

The bathroom cabinetry by Koch and Company incorporates two vanity cabinets and a floor to ceiling linen cabinet, all in a Fairway door style in charcoal blue, accented by Alno hardware crystal knobs and a super white granite eased edge countertop. The vanity area also includes undermount sinks with chrome faucets, Granby sconces, and Luna programmable lit mirrors.
