Large contemporary master bath suite with tiled walls and open wet area. Trough style sink on a modern floating vanity. Contrast of light and dark was the accent design feature in this room. To ground the large open space, the bottom tiles are darkly contrasted, but matching the darkness of the vanity for continuity. We left the ceilings vaulted in the space to enhance the drama and open feeling. The bathroom opens to the master closet as well as the bedroom.

This outdated master bathroom had a layout that did not work for the homeowners. There was a very large garden tub, which was never used, a small neo-angle shower and a toilet that sat in the middle of the room. We provided them with a much larger shower, a second vanity and we were able to give them a bit more privacy. The slightly textured stacked tile, marble accents and gorgeous white vanities with gray quartz tops provide a beautiful face-lift to a once dark and dreary master bathroom.

This master bedroom remodel included separating the closet entry form the bathroom by adding a wall between the 2 spaces and a new bathroom door, fully returning this space to a bright open and airy master suite. The mix of warm wood with crisp white walls and simple furnishings creates a relaxing oasis.

Designed by Mark Sleith of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Falls Church, VA in collaboration with Atlantic Deck & Home Renovation, this new master bathroom design features Green Forest Cabinetry in the Park Place door style with White finish, a Cambria Whitney vanity countertop and fixtures from Kohler and Moen.
Said the client, "We were appreciative of Mark and his colleagues for their guidance, patience and helping us to achieve the concept we wanted. Mark completed everything with efficiency and worked very well with Chris our contractor. The finished project is elegant, yet functional. Added Mark, "The clients chose a white cabinet as a neutral palate for their eclectic collection of accessories. The choice of Cambria Whitney for the vanity top added a touch of sparkle that worked well with the the warmth of polished nickel fixtures from Kohler and Moen."

The primary suite received a fresh coat of paint, new carpet and a small reading chair to create a fresh airy and open bedroom with a cozy seating area overlooking the mountains. A small textural neutral rug anchors the bed and bench. The window seat was furnished with soft plush pillows and a blanket creating a cozy nook. A pop of soothing blue was added with an original painting from Whitney Design Studios above the bed to create a focal point. The room serves as a relaxing spot to recuperate from the day.
