We were brought on board to help our clients re-imagine their summer haven. Windows were important to maximize the gorgeous lake view. Access to the lake was also very important, so an outdoor shower off the mudroom/laundry area with its own side entrance provided a nice beach entry for the kids. A large kitchen island open to dining and living was imperative for the family and the time they like to spend together. The finished basement opens to the ground level, and above the entrance breezeway is another small deck with a great view. It’s the best of indoor/outdoor living. Movement patterns from beach to house to bedroom were an important consideration. The site also provided an excellent opportunity to visually connect the basement level patio visually to the main level deck and finally the master bedroom deck. this living room design featured uniquely designed wall panels that adds a more refined and elegant look to the exposed beams and traditional fireplace design. the Vis-à-vis sofa positioning creates an open layout with easy access and circulation for anyone going in or out of the living room. With this room we opted to add a soft pop of color but keeping the neutral color palette thus the dark green sofa that added the needed warmth and depth to the room.
