In a suburb less than 3 miles from Manhattan an old house underwent a major facelift. I had a good fortune of being invited to participate on the garden design and installation.
In the front a simple corten steel frame lifts an arrangement of Carex Pensilvanica, that will mature into a lawn that will not need mowing. Playful clusters of Boxwoods add structure and winter interest.

Cobble Hill Landmark Brownstone – Elegant Front Garden Transformation
This project reimagines the front garden of a landmarked brownstone in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, blending timeless materials with a modern edge. A new bluestone patio creates a gracious entry space, framed by a neatly clipped boxwood hedge that adds structure and year-round greenery.
A custom planter with integrated lighting highlights the architectural details of the façade, while discreet landscape lighting and automated irrigation ensure the garden stays lush and inviting day and night. The overall effect is polished, low-maintenance, and perfectly tailored to the historic character of the neighborhood.

A rooftop garden installation on top of a garage can be a beautiful addition to any urban space. Using a mix of planters and perennials, the installation was designed to incorporate both edible and non-edible plants. Mixing vegetables and herbs with perennial flowers and shrubs created a lush and diverse garden that is not only visually appealing but also productive. The garden is arranged in a way that maximizes space while also providing enough room for each plant to grow and flourish. With minimal care and attention, a rooftop garden will provide fresh produce and a serene environment for years to come.
