Cesar Rubio Hulburd Design transformed a 1920s French Provincial-style home to accommodate a family of five with guest quarters. The family frequently entertains and loves to cook. This, along with their extensive modern art collection and Scandinavian aesthetic informed the clean, lively palette.

Custom closet doors are a main feature of this master bedroom with their mirrored panels and "X" styles. A fully customized bed was created to fit the space and the client's inspiration. A curved high back, diamond tufted headboard is upholstered in a sheen fabric.

We designed this master bedroom for someone who wanted a more contemporary and glamorous feel. The blues, lavenders and taupe are combined to create a soft and soothing room. We tied the taupe velvet bed with the Irish taupe/white custom panels to a taupe in the linen print. We used linen for the blue Roman Shade. To add some glam, we chose mirrored side chests. We chose a dramatic chrome chandelier and chrome swing arm wall lamps. There is a small custom upholstered chair and bench in the room, as well as a black chest of drawers, wall TV and flat weave wool carpet.

Lovely front entrance with delft blue paint and brass accents. Front doors should say welcome and thank you for visiting, I think this does just that!
